With all the reborns and everyone using them, what is the point of using doom anymore?
To be played on turn 2 against Midrange Hunter and Murloc decks, hoping they don’t have Toxfin.

I still throw it in all my exp farming decks, but those decks aren’t intended to win with.
Against big boards with freeze it can be very helpful.
Who are you kidding? They ALWAYS have Toxfin ready in hand.

Nah. Mage still gets mileage out of Doomsayer + freeze.
This is about the only time I would look at Doomsayer at this point in time. In general I do think Doomsayer is obsolete but Mage can still utilize it well.

True statement. I always end up with x2 in hand on like turn 5.
Toxicfin does make it a lot worse. Aggro warrior can even kill it sometimes. It just doesn’t survive as much as it used to. But even when they kill it you kinda gained 7 life so still its ok.
So, I don’t think only doomsayer is affected…
BIG removal spells like twisting nether, flamestrike, blizzard… They can only kill the first round… Reborn is looking like it may change how the game is played… Pali quest plays mostly reborns, and completes quickly. Then hero power just gives an extra reborn, because they can make a 2/2 version of whatever. I think it is safe to say, Mage for sure got major jipped on this quest. Just desserts? Exodia was fantastic, but I never enjoyed playing it. But back to reborn. There are only so many freezes, silences, sending cards back to opponents deck so on so forth, available. EVERYONE is using reborn of some kind. Some classes using more than others. I can’t say this is op, or not balanced. Maybe we all have to change how we play. But the question is, are we ALL supposed to switch to reborn decks? Honestly, I don’t see too many easy ways to defeat ALL of them. as I said earlier, we only have so many resources… I guess the real question is, for ANY hero class, how do you battle seemingly infinite multiple somethings that always have to be killed 2x?

Reborn minions are slooooow. They have poor stats for the Mana, and the best low cost one requires other minions on the board to be any good.
Also most of them only have 2 hp, so not exactly difficult to trade with a lower cost minion then ping it off the board.
Sure, it gets annoying when they play a pile of them and a simple AoE won’t suffice, but seriously they are not that powerful and only a couple are put in decks outside of quest paladin.

the point is they FLOOD the board… Not all heroes have that ability… MAGE especially cannot flood if they want to stay any kind of mage. While we have minions, we are mostly spell based, and don’t have the ability to make multiples of cards like that. we only have so many freezes and stalls… and since all heroes now have a form of board clear, any tiny minions we do have are not going to last, and cannot be replaced, or copied, or reborn… etc… It doesn’t matter that reborns are slow, they flood, and are REBORN… seemingly only aggro, or complete match up is the way to go. but that is kind of unfair, since HEROES are not built the same, and therefore are not given the same options as everyone else. So REALLY what can ALL heroes do?
Mages were handling quest paladin pretty easily prior to the nerfs. Not sure how it stacks up now. Most of the meta is very aggro, and quest paladin above rank 5 has a negative win rate.
I don’t know if I have a great answer for you, but the deck is very vulnerable to aggro and silence
maybe quest pali just needs to figure it out? quest druid since it began, I think was already great… Quest shamen when it began I could defeat. not anymore. Quest Pali, I cannot… Quest priest, rogue, mage and hunter, I can defeat. It just doesn’t happen often, because I mostly see druid and shamen… Warrior, and warlock I just don’t see enough. so I don’t know enough.

I have actually… but I only saw a few games… I will try to watch moe… when does he normally stream?
I am not too sure. I followed him a little here and there generally i saw him at night time and my timezone is +8 GMT.
I think I may even have a variation of his reno mage… only card im missing is stargazer
