Is any mode of hearthstone really FUN?

The topic resumes my latest experiences with all modes Hearthstone has included/reworked in the client (by the way, why so big cpu/ram usage? Hearthstone is blocking my pc):

Standard: scam decks almost with no interaction, otk decks on turn 6-7, 8/8 on turs 4-6 (rogue, warlock) or double 9/9 with taunt on turn 4 (buff hunter), no brain cells murloc quest, every turn spell removing mages, resurrect lifesteal and rush minions with reborn on turn 5 with priest, or stupid Lynessa interactions with paladin… (infinite armor and infinite Kill’Jaeden cards decks either are fun, by the way).
Does anybody in the developer team has the abiilty to advertise at the others some cards will be broken in the current meta BEFORE they launched them? Standard meta has been worse past years, of course, they have improved several things; but my Lord, does anybody has learn anything? (Ice block, Barnes, Sonya, Illucia, Dorian, Zilliax 3000, Ceaseless expanse, easy removal spells … cards ALWAYS problematic the way they were launched).

Wild: Absolutely degenerate decks: discard warlock, otk holy wrath paladin, infinite ping imbue mage, Barnes druid, infinite weapon rogue, etc.,… But nobody in Blizzard cares about wild, I know.

Battlegrounds: every oponent I confront has ben given the perfect trinket and/or the perfect minions for his tribe composition and I only find mostly neutral minions of two tier taverns below on the shop. Result: 10 damage/15 damage and I’m almost dead on turns 6-7. And the feeling that I have not been offered the same opportunities and resources as my opponents. So bad sensation.

New Arena: I’m playing against almost constructed decks every two oponents, and the 5 cards offered when I lose are useless with no sinergies. Result: I have not achieved 6 victory runs yet. Not to mention the joke of crowd’s favorite gold.

I’ve played twist (not balanced heroes, caverns of time packs with new broken cards and old set cards that I already had with the same prize), duels (It hasn’t been a bad experience in general, but a good one either). Mercenaries (mostly entertaining and diferent mode with horrible monetization)…

I have the impression that every mode they try to improve (and of course, make money from it) they ruined it.

So, in summary, these are the reasons for my initial question.
Can anyone respond with a different opinion?

The uninstall mode got improved a lot. Hearthstone developers really improved it.

I play low MMR wild and usually have fun. I only play a few games a day (less than 10), sometimes skip a day, and quit for the day if I’m getting tilted.

At lower MMR you don’t see hard-core aggro decks, top tier meta decks, and the like. People are playing with the new cards or building nostalgic decks.

If you’re a very competitive type of person it might not be for you but if not, give it a whirl.

If you’re competitive, no, HS won’t be fun in any format or mode.

Also, it’s quite obvious they do not test cards before releasing expansions/minisets, and if they do, they definitely don’t test how they interact with previous sets

Wild is the most fun constructed mode, and unironically it’s a more balanced experience than Standard.

Battlegrounds is really fun, but it isn’t a mode you can play a quick game and leave, as most games are around the 25-30 minute mark in duration.

yeah i think it varies. I dislike 20-40 turn do nothing spend entire games hostage mage quests. but i also felt like i was one of the people who wasn’t like ā€œyeah this is degenerate now, but lets kill it immediatelyā€, it’s been a few years and it’s just getting better with the elemental and just pivoting.

But the parts of wild i like, where your cards get to attack and it feels like raid boss vs raid boss gameplay with 1000s of cards to look at and try to combine, and testing like 10-40x minor variants from board floods to big boys to potentially being able to spam whacky stuff you can’t do in other modes, like a 60/60 with lifesteal that can make you immune is fun.

It gets hard removed and reno’ed ofc and as they say, for a deck to be good in legend, it can’t just be greedy or a ā€˜i win more lol’ deck, it needs to have the right mix of tempo and not just a pile of cards to counter 1 of 20 decks in the meta that flops against aggro and everything else.

I think we are kinda seeing core synergy creep where we’re seeing gameplay patterns that break the normal 2/3 vs 3/4 vs 4/3 vs 5/6 vanilla curve patterns though.

The pre release tavern brawl showed off all new cards and quests falling to imbue paladin and murloc paladin, a deck with 0 new cards in a prob intended preorder
p2w brawl. But at least you interact with minions and your board gets to attack.

Wild does have some antics though, i still like it raid boss vs raid boss style vs ā€œyou’re frozen and never get to attackā€ or ā€œi do nothing for 5 turns then scout tells me i can holy wrath for 125 damage and you instantly loseā€ decks.

The game plans are more varied then ever before. but the ā€œwe don’t find grim patron otks particularly fun or interactiveā€ kinda lines are kinda like… ignoring decks that ignore everything their opponent does to just delete them out of nowhere or board lock and hand lock them the rest of the game?

It’s kinda like Yata lock of Yugioh, some decks kinda revolve around one cheese that isn’t really let the opponent interact with it and defend it as they use it.

Solo Adventures is the best mode!

It used to be but it got a lobotomy.

Check out Darkspire on steam if you like hearthstone dungeon runs. It’s only a demo right now but I’ll definitely be buying it when the full version is available. It feels like hearthstone runs.

i have fun with it. i don’t play as often as i use to, but also life is more busy for me than back when the game first came out.

By this exact post you proved you have LITERALLY no idea how to play BG’s. Keep blaming the game though.

In blizzard Teams of psychologists are developing systems to create a game that isn’t fun, but that captivates your mind and tricks you into spending your money. It works like a rigged slot machine: you’re not actually having fun, but you’re being tricked into spending by managing and optimizing your frustration. Every now and then, you win something and want to spend it, hoping to win much more…

you could add me, and we could play some decks i made that are pretty whacky and fun

No. They’ve managed to destroy every mode. Even in solo adventures, in the age of ai, npc uses coin and then ends turn, cuz its broken for years.

It it walks like fun and it quacks like fun, it’s fun.

I play with only two heroes available.
And maybe it doesn’t happen to you that when a new minion is generated in combat, my minions do almost always face it, instead of going to any other of the ones on the right. That is a big part of my loses.
But of course i’m bad, i’m below 8000 MMR player, but this is not a reason for blaming me, or arguing the validity of my opinion. I’m only saying that this approaches to the different modes, are not fun for the medium player.
If you like explosives turns or coin flip attack decidir combats, you can play yu-gi-oh-like games. We don’t have alternatives.
Hearthstone was not this way. It was more respectful with the two players turns in SD /attacks in BG.
And you can say what you want, but divine shield + windfury is OP in BG. And now with rally even more.
