[iPad] Bluetooth Keyboard inputs not recognized in Chat

Hi there!

For several patches now, Bluetooth iPad keyboards don’t seem to function with in-game chat. I have personally tried with two separate brands. The game recognizes there is an external keyboard paired and hides the on-screen keypad (normally displayed), but no characters type in Chat (via Friends pane).

At least as of 17.0, keystrokes and characters ARE recognized properly in the My Collection Search function.

iOS ver 13.3.1
iPad Air 3rd Gen (model MUUK2LL/A) if that helps

This is still a problem. One of the great things about using the iPad with a bluetooth keyboard is the ability to easily chat with friends. (iPhone is tougher, with tiny keyboard… much slower for me)

I was bummed to get a new iPad Air 3rd gen (like many others who have complained about this issue), only to find out that I cannot chat with my bluetooth keyboard anymore.

What gives? Can Blizzard please look into this? Thanks in advance.

This is the same as my iPad Pro attached magic keyboard issue reported here. Can use the keyboard to search my collection but can’t type in chat. Any resolution yet?
