Insane how much they ignore wild

There are only a few cards per class that are ACTUALLY problematic that they could easily nerf/change and wild would be PERFECT

Shaman has shudderwock which is an INSANELY stupid card in todays Hearthstone. Making it only happen once per game would easily eliminate the problems with the card. Shaman still has crazy good aggro, high roll, and control decks shudderwock that can be dealt with. Shudderwock is the only one that’s a major issue.

Mage is the same way with (Forgot his name but the legendary that plays spells that didn’t start in your deck) whoever just limit it to once per game. Ice block can be dealt with when it’s not played on repeat EVERY. SINGLE. TURN. (Also the imbue mage currently is beyond stupid)

Paladin has the really dumb OTK (I think instawin cards shouldn’t be printed personally) but as it is a HIGH roll deck I can’t be too upset at it. Libram paladin could def use a tweak though. Dropping up to 2 8/8’s and multiple 5/5s on turn 4 is such a stupid thing to be able to do.

Rogue has quasar but all they have to do is make it so that cards get the reduction but don’t go below 1 and boom that deck is still strong without winning on turn 4 with 0 chance for counterplay

ALL QUEST/QUESTLINES NEED TO BE NERFED

Boom you just fixed wild. It’s still crazy, there’s still insane combos that can be pulled off, you can still play BS decks that feel unfair BUT they’re not so oppressive that it feels like if you DON’T play these you’ll never actually play the game

1 It’s not insane: not many people play WILD so they do not want to slend resources to balance Wild. Simples.

  1. You clearly have no clue ig you think that nerfing a couple cards will save Wild. Wild has myriad of problems same as any eternal format ever. Nerfing one problematic deck will make domething else that was kept in check by said deck become problematic.

They do constant balabce patches and they can’t even balance Standard. What makes you think that nerfing 5-10 cards in Wild will make Wild ok? Serious question.

That’s a self-feeding thing. They are out of their depth to balance it (because it’s an extremely complicated problem compared to balancing Standard and they don’t even do a great job in Standard), and most people figure that out and just play Standard.

PS also the Tournament situation doesn’t help. The most competitive people who aim to become Champion can only do that in Standard and that also drives streaming promotion.

The real fix would be player created custom lobbies.

Make it so players can create a lobby. Set custom parameters, like banning certain cards or classes from play, custom health totals, custom starting or total mana, etc. And anyone who wants to play in that lobby can choose to do so.

They need to give players better options, and if they cant figure out the best options for us on thier own. Then they should just give us all the options…even in the menu-ing this could apply, but thats a different discussion.

yep is great !!
bad suggestions like your “quest line ban” being ignored is the best thing they can do for wild mode

The shaman questline, the druid questline needs to be nerfed. Double battlecries on turn 5 for the rest of the game is toxic, and so is discounting all minions in the deck to zero after playing a single 8/8 dragon.

Might as well nerf demon seed again as well. I hate that questline.

Seems like 80% of games are over once a stupid questline is completed.

Once your favorite Wild deck stops working the only recourse is to quit Hearthstone. Standard players on the other hand can always try their deck in Wild.

Play a standard deck in wild? Lol, yeah good luck with that. XD

I love feasting on standard decks. Helps out my win percentage.

Is it insane? Blizzard pretty much said wild is…well, wild. And that they will do an absolute minimum och balancing, nerfing, buffing or changing of cards. Its meant to be this way.

What is this Marsh Queen Quest deck that needs nerfed? That quest is very meh. Also point me to the OP Murloc Quest Shaman.

Wild is fine being wild. Sound like you want back to classic. They tried that after the first week the nostagia wore off it degenerated into mostly bots.

I don’t want classic, didn’t even care for that when it came it’s quite boring. The issue with Wild is that it’s suffering from the same issue as standard which is certain decks are SO consistently strong and better than others that it’s all you ever see despite there being 100+ deck types out there only a couple are used.

Wild is MOSTLY fine and I stated this in my OP, there aren’t actually THAT many decks that feel so oppressive that there’s nothing you can do once it gets going. The ones that do exist only use a handful of cards that are SUPER old and need to be adjusted for todays power level of hearthstone.

Shudderwock being the #1 example. Blizzard has been making insanely powerful effects happen once per game for a reason. The core of Hearthstone is that it’s a pvp game. If you can lock your opponent out of the game basically turning it into a pve game that goes against the core of the game.

Imagine if in chess everytime you moved a pawn you got an extra turn, it’s still technically a pvp game and your opponent can still technically “play” the game but you’re just gonna keep moving pawns to keep them from actually playing until you win or at the very least have an overwhelming advantage that they can’t realistically come back from. It’s not fun or fair for the game

The only reason Blizzard has made stuff once per game because they caved to whining. The core of Hearthstone is that it’s a card game not some kind of weird amalgamation of other types of game. If the decks you are using are too slow that people get all the time in the world to build up infinite wombo combo than you need to go back to the drawing board and make your stuff faster. You can’t expect all your opponents to wait 50 for you to have the game end to fatigue explosion.

Imagine that in chess that you every time someone gets checkmated they get to reset their sided of the board with 1 less piece and the game continue until 1 person runs out of pieces. You could still technically “win” even a novice would give a master a hard time to not end the game in a stalemate. All the novice has to do is use their 15 resets to whittle down the Masters initial force to the point where they can no longer checkmate without giving the Master a single reset.

Literally false.

Once per game was introduced before they changed other cards to once per game.

You know that. You are better than that!

And, “Once per Game” needs to be ustilised more in wild.

If you dont play the format, dont comment on it.

Cheers

The only card that once per game before they caved to whining were Zarimi and Harth Stonebrew which made sense as all you needed to do for those was have a bounce effect. No other set up required. Furthermore Zarimi could have been used with Brann for 2 turns it if wasn’t predesigned for once per game. Then they caved and made Time warp once per game and latter did the same to Fizzle.

Imbue Mage is beyond broken. No excuse why is hasn’t been nerfed yet or banned entirely from wild play.

Chess is not RNG MMR bull crap. Chess rules and pieces are not being changed, added or nerfed every couple months. Chess is already balanced. If blizzard took your viewpoint and never tried to balance this game everything would be horrible. Not a very well thought out take. Step outside and take a breath of fresh air.

its not worse than the turn 4 kill aggro decks

thats the excuse

you show me how its worse than the turn 4 kill aggro decks

and i will admit im wrong

good luck

Over a hundred damage because of a 4 mana card pinging each enemy with a stupid hero power that goes off twice is pretty ******* broken. I’ll be happy when cards are banned because of this crap.

The imbue interaction with apprentice is much worse than any aggressive deck.

At least if you play another aggressive deck you can fight for the board and contest the match.

The ping damage is unavoidable outside of not playing minions to the board to be targets, which is not a valid strategy either.

I will happily fight aggressive decks all day if that means the imbue mage decks go away.
