I’m 60% win rate vs the infinite turn mage deck.
I play big shaman and often when he start to play 8 turn in a row, I have 40+ hp of taunt to deal with and sometime immune to spell (thank you my Lich king)… So we both not sure if he’s gonna make it so… I sit down and watch him play alone for 10+ minutes wondering if he will make it or not.
People saying it’s not broken miss the point that it fall big time in potential future problem and mostly how insanely boring it is to watch your opponent play 8 turn in a row and basically preventing you from playing the game for 10+ minutes.
Some deck with have 100ish armor build up and will have to wait 10+ minutes just to see if he kill him.
Waiting 10 minutes doing nothing just to know if he will manage to kill you or not is not a good mechanic for HS, no matter the winrate.
Shudderwock does the same thing but in one turn
Since they never addressed that issue (nor odd warrior bots), I highly doubt they will do something because “10 minutes turns are long”.
I’d say the easiest fix would be to concede once you realize the opponent can play 8 turns: it is pretty safe to assume they will win in 8 turns
(or even after the 3-4 turn you would realize it’s over).
If some decks can survive for 8 turns in a row, then they have to pay the price of sitting there and see what happens, I guess; just like 2K armor druid waiting for a tie or for a win due to fatigue
It’s not the same, you can play your turn after he finish his one turn. Of course sometime you’ll notice he’s starting a loop you won’t be able to counter and it’s game over.
The problem with mage is like I say, some situation end up that you NEED to wait 10 minutes doing nothing because you’re not sure you will die. Waiting 10 minutes to know if he will kill you is extremly frustrating.
Huge different here.
