Incindius Shudderblock Damages hero bug

Well look at that, the Shudderblock card that reads “Battlecry: the next 3 battlecries trigger 3 times but cannot damage the enemy hero”. This is in place to not lose to a broken mechanic… Anyway, I just faced a Shaman, he played block, next battlecry was Incindius and so it puts 15 Eruptiosn in his deck right? Now heres the broken part. He played the mini block and that battlecry trigger was for gaslight gatekeeper… So 3 hand reshuffles… with 15 eruptions in his deck… I die? It clearly says “Cannot damage the enemy hero” Then proceeds to find an exploit to do this… Please remove this bug

Battlecry did no damage. Not a bug

Battlecry CAUSED damage

eruption did damage, battlecry didn’t do damage

Only the next one, not the next 3

And yeah, not a bug. Not a single battlecry dealt damage there.

No. The battlecry itself does not deal damage.

I am aware that the battlecry did not. But the consequences of playing battlecry caused a hero damaging effect…

You answered your own question.

The battlecry, itself, did not cause damage.

The battlecry does not say “deal damage”.

Yes, it LED to damage being dealt, but that doesn’t matter.

Is not bug working as intended

Explain Kalegros then?

You mean Kalecgos?

Legendary · Minion · Core · Your first spell each turn costs (0). Battlecry: Discover a spell.

His battlecry discovers a spell. It does not deal damage. I don’t understand how he is even relevant to this topic…

If the tripled battlecry was to give +2/+2, would you expect the targetted minion to deal no face damage ? Because that would be extra damage originating from the battlecry that can’t deal damage, right ?
If the tripled battlecry was to summon a 5/5, would you expect the summoned minions to never be able to deal face damage ?
If the tripled battlecry simply was “draw a card”, would the extra drawn cards be able to deal face damage ? Because your opponent wouldn’t have had them without that, so the battlecry led to damage.

Ok my bad, I mean the shaman legendary that invokes 4 different choices

You mean Kalimos?

Legendary · Minion · Core · Battlecry: If you played an Elemental last turn, cast an Elemental Invocation.

The battlecry does not say “deal damage”. It’s really just that simple.

yeah him, haven’t you seen the exploit through this with shudderblock?

The battlecry does not, itself, directly, deal damage.

Therefore Shudderblock allows it.

Blizzard has not said it’s an exploit. You’re free to call it an exploit if you want. Good luck with that.

Why do you keep on calling this an exploit when it’s the intended game design ?
Kalimos battlecry does not deal damage, it casts an elemental invocation.
Just the same as any minion casting a spell with its battlecry.
It’s not the battlecry on itself that deals the damage, it’s the consequence of the battlecry.
That has been purposefully made an exception.

So by that logic shudderblocking a fabled hagatha golem with the right spell could kill an opponent by proxy?

!TO MY UNDERSTANDING!
Shudderblock is coded to prevent the minion with the battlecry from dealing damage so the hagatha golem would create a “spell” and that spell would deal the damage so Shudderblock shouldn’t prevent that.

I think the general rule (that I think has already been mentionned) is “if the battlecry doesn’t read ‘deal damage’, then it can deal face damage”
It may be extrapolated but I think it’s a better reading of the effect
