Hi, I just finished playing a game on EU (started around 12:20 CET) where Implant Subject was not receiving stats for Bonus Keywords. Then I had 2 on board, and they were not receiving stats apart when they were getting out of Stealth. Later, I tripled the cards and buffs were applied normally. This didn’t stop me from getting 1st place, but was frustrating
Taunt and Reborn does not trigger the ability of Implant Subject.
Keywords like Divine Shield, Stealth and Toxic do.
When a Reborn minion dies, it does not “lose” the Reborn keyword.
That minion dies, and a new one is summoned which does not have, and never had, reborn.
The only case I can think of where Reborn is truly “lost” is when your opponent has a Sin’dorei Straight Shot, which removes taunt and reborn when it attacks.
Did your opponent have that minion?
Yes it’s a bug. Following your logic, when a stealth minion dies, it doesn’t “lose” the stealth either.
And yet the implant still gains stats.
Yes it’s bugged, tons of people have noticed the same thing on Reddit too.
Before ALL of those bonus keywords used to trigger the implant stats. Not anymore.
That’s not what the tooltip says lol
How exactly did it die?
The usual case for a stealth minion dying is from attacking an enemy minion, in which case it does lose stealth as a consequence of attacking, immediately before it dies.
Now, I could be wrong because I don’t see it in either of the last two patch note releases, but I seem to recall that Implant Subject USED to give the buff when a Reborn minion died…twice. Unfortunately I don’t really use deck tracker, so I don’t have a replay of any of the times it happened, but I feel like I remember a few BG games where the reborn would die, Implant would buff, then the reborn would resummon, and Implant would buff AGAIN. My assumption at the time was that it was counting the minion dying as losing Reborn, and then the minion coming back WITHOUT reborn and losing reborn. So, if my memory ISN’T playing tricks on me, perhaps they fixed it in a hotfix, but made it so reborn doesn’t trigger Implant AT ALL instead of having it only trigger once.
