Immovable object nerf?

With as much healing available to Palidan, can immovable object not be an infinite weapon? Maybe it should lose durability or something because control Pali is going to be a monster if not. Sure you can run vipers, but tech cards should be a personal choice to run, a convenience that gives you an edge in a specific matchup, not a mandatory inclusion.

viper is good in literally any deck because you can trade it in case its not needed

That doesn’t make it “good,” just less bad.

You’d still rather have a card relevant to your deck than a dead card that you have to spend 1 Mana to get rid of every time you draw it.

That said, there are usually enough powerful weapons around to justify the slot on a viper given that it’s one of the least painful oozes to draw in a bad matchup.

that’s still what they are.
Right now you can beat cariel even without removing the weapon; after the release of the new expansion we don’t know how it will be.

I think the weapon should at least lose durability when it attacks, why do they need the free 2 damage per turn?

To add something that resembles a guaranteed way to end the game rather than just making it longer.

So that (fatigue style) control decks can suck it? Half kidding ;p

Cariel’s power offer a lot of value to out value control decks, but both of them technically can also be countered or stalled (freeze, taunts) in some way. If they only had one but not the other they’d be near trivial to deal with, especially for control decks who know the techs.

10 damage is probably enough for a 7 cost card that also is a 2 damage aoe, 50% damage reduction, 5 armor and a huge hero power upgrade.

Personally, I’d lose the the aoe on the battlecry.

It’s really the damage reduction that bothers me. You can’t rush them down or burst them out of a game when they have the weapon. That isn’t as big of a deal when you can chip away at them, but with the amount of healing available to Palidan that takes away that route too. If the class is going to have abundant healing, I don’t think immovable object should also be indestructible.

Sure viper is a fine card. That the tech exists isn’t a good reason to leave a card unbalanced.

If Guff can exist at 5 mana then Cariel having her shield and Battlecry is fine.

Guff and Cariel both need some tweaking as far as I’m concerned lol

even if it loses durability, in order to destroy it you should still run a tech card, since I doubt a paladin would break the weapon just to deal 2 damage

But you can force them into awkward positions at least where they either need to or can’t use it to clear/hit you in the face
