Imbue priest still bad

Bad hero power is bad. They can buff this a million times, if they don’t tweak the AI behind it, it will suck forever.
It doesnt matter how much mana you have or how many times you imbued, your choices are, in 70% of the time, a 1 cost minion, and 1-2 cost spells. Thats what you get most of the times. Its useless even with discounts.
Dont craft Imbue Priest, it sucks.

The main problem is that the skill cap for the imbue itself is extremely high. Most players can only handle decks that have everything being predictable. This deck and especially if it goes late game it can pull some very complex moves depended on the randomness.

That said it’s probably still not an amazing buff, maybe it would be comfier if it just had 4 choices instead so that you have an extremely high probability to get something expensive late-game because if you get something cheap the whole deck turns a dud.

Yes, more choices will probably solve the situation. I get that the randomness is the downside, but im tired of getting 1 cost crap in late game.
It somehow feels like Priest imbue is the only one that doesnt pay dividends.

Priest cards are simply underperforming in general. That’s always been the biggest issue. This latest change helps, particularly if you run protoss to make the pool possibly better. But the pool is still full of trash.

Imagine this same HP in DK. It would have been cracked even without a single buff.

They’ve always been this way though. This isn’t new. And it likely will continue to be that way. Priest mains will know exactly what I’m talking about. We’ve often called it Priest tax.

Just go through the library and choose any expansion. Look at the cards for that expansion and count the duds. There’s always a lot.

I think on average Priest will see 3-4 playable class cards out of 10. Sometimes there’s only like 2

In fact, many working Priest decks have always used lots of neutrals as they are generally better.

Yes, the HP would be busted in DK because nearly all DK stuff is playable. But the hero power sucks because it’s a Priest one. Much like how Priest heal 2 hero power would suck more if Hunter had it.

The hero power has no synergy with priest cards. It needs a class that doesn’t get garbage joke cards for its class. That’s why DK would be good and why Priest it isn’t. That’s why the hero power should just be redone. Priests didn’t want a hero power like this for Imbue. That’s why we knew it would suck so bad.

Don’t know if it’s good or not yet but I face a ton of priests after patch. Of all varieties - protoss, agro, and stuff in between. Maybe people are just trying to make it work. The buff was pretty significant actually though I’m not sure how exactly does it work (does it give you ANY playable card or something that makes the most use of your remaining mana?).

I dunno, priest has been getting a bunch of pretty strong aggro/tempo cards lately. It’s their late game that’s been weak.

The only time this hero power is good is when you are lucky and your pings are on curve. The choices are hardly ever complex and typically very linear.

Why not just “discover”? Would make a lot more sense.

I don’t think it requires must dust to play though. It’s mediocre but not very bad as before.

I think it would be OP if it had 3.

yeah its the only hero power that gets weaker as the game goes on. It gets stronger for a couple turns, then quickly loses value as turns progress.

In arena its total bull.

Well, it wouldn’t if the third choice is “mystery choice” like that 2/3 vulpera.

Extra bad if the random thing could be EITHER minion or spell (or maybe even weapons or locations or hero cards etc if they’re in wild/later expansions)

The bad spell pool really hurts Imbue Priest. There just aren’t enough decent choices to get a Priest out of a jam. Need a board clear? Well, here’s your power word fortitude. Thank you imbue. Why is it that paladin got a 1 mana cost reduction on their imbue (which is miles ahead of Priest), but Priest is still stuck with this rng garbage? Zarimi combo got axed, Protoss Priest isn’t that great without the cards that allowed you to create copies of key minions, and Imbue priest is a pit of despair. What are Priests playing for fun these days?
