Imbue might be the worst mechanic ever added to the game

Whoever pitched this god-awful mechanic should never be allowed to work on a card game ever again. It’s staggering the dev team actually thought this was a good idea. A hero power should not give you 10 cost minions a turn or summon 8/8’s, this is pure lunacy.

Wow such insight. You do know that it doesn’t just happen and you need to play other cards in order to do that right? It’s a ramp up effect and a lot of the time does poorly against aggro.

This game is complete trash right now. I don’t even want to log in and do my quests.

the answer is yes. it is the worst mechanic ever added to the game. the mechanic ruins wild (mage), it has ruined arena for quite a while, even after lowering the rate at which the cards appear it still sucks. it ruins the tavern brawl right now. it has ruined standard for a while with imbue hunter and so on and so forth.

its boring, no effect minions that allows the same braindead action of clicking your hero power every turn for big value.

“I don’t like imbue, but I want to win, but to win I need imbue, so it’s a garbage mechanic” pretty much sums it up from what I’m reading.

You do realize some non imbue classes are even more boring and can beat imbue decks right?

The starship mechanic for me is the worst thing ever added to the game. Especially with the starship pieces they added allowing gaining 100 armor every game.

It was an interesting idea but the most poorly executed thing they’ve ever done… and it led to them to blatently going all in on the nerf prior cards to ensure the new cards see play (the reno effect).

They should have brought platebreaker back instead of steamcleaner for this very reason, you’d think they learned with the Armor DH fiasco, but all they did was reduce it’s armor gain and instead gave them lifesteal spam

Especially when there is not a single match not entirely determined by RNG. Two people playing imbue Paladin. Some schmuck gets an inbue card to play on every turn. The other does not see a single one for 6 turns even with draw cards.

One guy plays Fyrakk and gets half a dozen useful spells, the other does and gets nothing but detrimental spells. “Strategy”.

The game is third rate garbage. Imagine how few people would play if it wasn’t free.

Well yeah, almost everyone loves the IDEA of imbue. The execution of it was…well an execution of the game imo.

It’s the “Joust” mechanic and it’s not even close for worst new mechanic.

Kil’jaden, imbue and all other mechanics that prevent the game from entering an “attrition till your opponent bleeds out” state are exactly what we need.

There are still players who only play to get their chemical high from “generating value”. You know these players when you see them. They struggle to manage hand space and die picking the greediest discover choice every turn.
