Im not having fun anymore, everyone uses copy paste decks

How can anyone play this game for fun anymore? Every deck diamond and above is just gimmicky copy paste, no one can think for themselves and its aggravating having no balance for these decks aka abyssal warlock, magnetic rogue, copy priest, even pirate warrior, exodia mage and cthun decks werent this bad, im stuck in diamond hell and seem like i can maybe win one out of 10 matches, no matter what dk deck i use its obsolete i refuse to copy decks from websites does anyone else actually build their own decks anymore?

When the meta settles, the best decks for that meta’s dynamic are quickly constructed. When dealing with literally thousands of players indirectly working together to come to this end, it’s an inevitability. This cannot be avoided. While it’s understandable you’re tired of facing the same meta decks as they’re called, it’s unreasonable to expect in the slightest that players use suboptimal decks to be different for the sake of being different. This is a competitive environment, and players will utilize the best tools at their disposal because they want to climb just like you.

If you cannot understand and accept this, I recommend arena mode.

well he doesnt need to copy them anyway if he tries to climb the ladder hell end up building a meta deck eventually without checkign any decklists

Yes, I do… I always builded my own decks thats how I can enjoy the game defeat most of the meta… but still don’t forget the forced 50% win rate by the game… We can’t do anything about it. When the game wants you to lose… then you will… it is that simple. Just deal with 50% win rate. I had 70% win rate 2 days ago with my deck, and 70% lose rate yesterday… Still coudn’t hit D1 this month… It is working like that… There is no justice… the game is not rewarding for those who are manage to build better deck than meta… still force you to lose when ever it wants… but still you can progress further a little every time.

In platinum Twist there are only two decks: Jade and C’Thun, with an occasional cameo from Pirates. 80% of those are Warrior and Druid, 15% Rogue and Priest.

Even with Twist having 50% more sets available the diversity is still non-existent.

If what your opponent does is your metric of fun then i strongly suggest for you to stop with multiplayer games.

Because this isn’t unique to hearthstone.

WELCOME to the internet of copypasta… wait till you learn about magic the gathering copypasta!

He can still play arena (drafting). The nature of this mode makes it hard to come up with the same deck every time.

That’s what I do when I’m bored.

I like to fiddle around with homebrewing Duels decks by taking what beat the tar out of me in a one sided never had a chance type match. Then whenever I run out of what I own that matched them, I get to figure out what I can throw in instead. Thats how I end up with a Vann deck with the neutral 7/7 windfury colossal with the 4/2 hands, I ended up with 6 copies of it in my hand all costing 2 mana each. lol. every single time the enemy disposed of 2 of them, I kept them a coming. lol. It was a glorious morning today.
but the following match had it where I never got to play any minions before the rogue had lethal on me and I was still 1 turn away from being able to drop any minions out of my hand yet. morning glory didnt last long lol.

play wild and craft your own decks. the game will be fun again. i’ve been doing this since the game was released. i’ve never played standard or copied meta decks. if i did that i’d be bored and quit. i know someone who only did that and he quit the game after being bored with it. there’s nothing better to me than to make my own decks and improve them over time while seeing how they do on wild ladder. it’s best to ignore ranks. play for fun and not to hit legend. if you only want to hit legend then good luck because you’ll be stuck copying broken decks to get you there. that’s all people play to get to legend. they use broken OP netdecks using broken cards. that’s OK but it’s not a fun way to play the game. i also enjoy making decks that counter the most popular broken netdecks.

I wish HS players didn’t mangle the English language so much.

A top deck is a deck that only wins 54% of the time. That’s just barely above 50%; there is nothing “broken” about it.

Because you misuse the word “broken”, you’ve created a mindset that implies it’s wrong to play it. Hence, your superior attitude.

I think you merely cripple yourself for no good reason.

I think I have some disagreements with this. For example, the Standard meta is currently in a situation with one genuinely broken deck. By which I mean Control Warrior has a grand total of one bad matchup and reduces the meta to a glamorized paper rock scissors.

But I still agree with your core point here. A screwed up meta generally has a broken deck, singular, not broken decks, plural. People genuinely do muddy down the concepts by not really thinking about them. Which in turn makes it easier for you to defend whatever the current thing is.

Some want to experiment, others do not. Some want to play suboptimal cards or too much greed in a meta that dont support it. Others dont.

Why fool around and build a deck when you have the work done for you? Thousands of hours playtesting, crunching numbers and statistics, endless spreadsheets of cards compared to counterparts.

If you want to reinvent the wheel go ahead but dont expect others to walk when there are cars, bikes, planes, boats and a myriad of ways to get from one point to the other. Keep walking.

Hearthstone is the worst game since ping pong.

How to say you don’t know what Steam is without saying that you don’t know what Steam is.

I don’t build decks, I only tweek decks that others have already designed. Im cool with it and appreciate the work others have done in building those decks. I do think though that I am missing out on half of the fun this game has to offer by not building my own decks. I think someone that spends time building their own decks and seeing even moderate success with them have unlocked a higher level of enjoyment and achievement than most players do. I think that someone who has piloted a home brew deck to Diamond or higher has achieved a lot more than the average person taking the flavor of the month deck to legend.

“Gimmicky” in this case is what we all refer to as the META. Even though I’m not a fan of the current META, haven’t been for a while thus my current break from Standard, it is what it is. I suggest either get used to it and do your best or do as I did.

Same

I will never be as good as other people, and a lot of these people who can take the time and have the know how post them. I don’t let such a resource go to waste, but I will modify it if I need to do so.
