I’m exclusive Hearthstone now. If they want me back to WoW: make actually viable single-player gaming: e.g. some kind of “Mage Tower” on 1v1 that balances classes with buffs picked up from the ground.
I haven’t had an active wow sub for a couple years, but I’m not following what your issue is here.
Can you not still farm achievements, get bee mounts, have dragon races, and things like that? As far as I can tell, it really just depends on how far you want to go down the rabbit hole. Like farming Ravenholdt rep for your hunter.
You do understand what MMO stands for, right? Massively MULTIPLAYER Online. If only there was a key word in that description which would explain why WoW wouldn’t be a single player game. If only……
Naw I disagree with where you are taking this… Just because it is a MMO doesn’t mean the entire game should revolve around having to have parties or groups.
Some of my most enjoyable times in MMO’s were when I was solo.
The last time my wife and i touched WoW was Legion and i enjoyed the Mage Tower challenge for my druid. I haven’t touched the game since then. It no longer holds any appeal to me.
I meant it’s not challenging at single-player modes (almost all of the time). I find it a waste of time doing something extremely easy just for completion.
In Hearthstone you put your mind hard at work on Constructed and on Battlegrounds and I guess Arena.
1v1 is multiplayer. It’s 2 people. They could learn a lesson from their Hearthstone and make meaningful 1v1 content (currently it’s totally broken because 1v1 combat is extremely imbalanced (they could make a special Format with buffs picked from the ground etc.)).
It’s not even non-multiplayer what I suggest. It’s 1v1 (2 people). They could make a new Format that does that (in a way with special pickable effects that make it more balanced than duels currently).
Mage Tower could be the basis for something great. 1v1 Mage Tower. 2 opponents who equalize/balance a little by using special effects in the zone/room.
I am sorry to be rude, but you really don’t need to open a thread in the hs forum to discuss every thought that crosses your mind.
I know this forum is a jungle and off-topic is the general tone here; but this is not only unrelated to HS, it’s hardly a topic of conversation in general imo.
Maybe. But cut me some slack. I got a real person to look into that group who were posting youtube-click-farming nonsense with lies regarding “free-legendaries” (thank me later).-
No, you got an automated response from a bot if you are talking about submitting a “support ticket”. Trust me, you need at LEAST 2, usually 4 or 5, tickets to speak to an actual human via support tickets.
No need to thank you when they are still here, using new accounts. You want thanks? Get actual mods here to monitor the forums.
Ok, you’re a troll. Or stupid beyond comprehension. Either way, everyone is right. This doesn’t belong on this forum. Reported and report this idiotic thread everyone.
Why do you lie to people? I made a ticket. I did get a response that was a copy paste(“use the report button”); I did not ‘resolve’ the issue (I told them “what are you talking about; those people abuse that system; you have to do it manually”); someone manually dealt with it after that (keep lying if you want (you have no clue what happened anyway (how petty that you do that))).
Are you part of that scam group, that I got mass banned for youtube-click-baiting with lies about “free legendaries”?
Because I have no clue why you curse so demonically against me all of a sudden without any provocation.
I don’t think you’ll ever find what you’re asking for in WoW. Arena, for example, is what comes to mind when you say 1v1, but players can earn rank and thus better gear to better withstand opponents in the Arena. This isn’t to mention sometimes there’s sometimes BiS loot in instances where you need more than one person, at least per their design. Special buffs/debuffs sounds like a slippery slop and may isolate certain classes actually able to play without utter disappointment/losses.
The closest PvE you’ll get is the main quest line released with any expansion and the continuing story per patch, however, it will be and feel more so a glass half full if you don’t do the dungeons and raids as they continue/finish the story unless you watch a video or read what happened. For the record, there is quite a bit of story to be had if you actually sit and read the quest explanations.
I certainly liked their dive into the Roguelite with the tower in SL. I wish they could make it better than it was, of course, but the most fun I had that expansion (the only fun tbh before I had enough grinding everything else) was the Torghast Tower. WoW would benefit from having one or two activities like it every expansion.
I don’t get what you mean. The entire point of them would be to avoid the imbalance you mentioned. They would only exist because some pairings of 1v1 are utterly broken in WoW; e.g. Healer vs DPS is practically impossible in almost all specs; the special effects would be tailored per-spec (each spec would see different effects for them) to equalize them.
