I'm back to say Mage is done.. Again

You know exactly what you can do with your advice, so I won’t put it into print.

Print it. I have no idea what you are on about.

I’m not surprised that you don’t know.
There seems to be a great deal that you don’t know.
Like the fact that nerfing IF to three mana will make the Mage questline one of the hardest, if not THE hardest questline to complete.
Druid can complete in almost no time.
Warlock can literally use it’s HP to complete and nothing else.
Paladin has enough 1 cost cards to race through it’s quest as well.
Warrior has enough cheap pirates to do the same thing.
Hunter can hit you in the face with one mana direct damage spells to complete.

Mage? Mage has to jump through hoops of spell classes to complete, and without discounts will not be able to keep up.
Go bother someone else, Swamp.
There is nothing wrong with my opinion of the nerf other than the fact that you disagree.
Duly noted. I cannot wait until the next VS report. I will be certain to remember that you think this is a minor nerf and won’t affect Mage’s performance very much. Until then? #ignored

I’m having a glass or 7 of wine and playing quest mage as I cry myself to sleep in your honor. I don’t entirely know what I’m doing (hot streak and devolving are good right?), but I’m gonna enjoy this final night and maybe get a few wins closer to 500 (woof).

Sounds like an evening:)
Seriously though; I will be flatly amazed if Mage is better than tier 4.
It has terrible spells, especially in the frost class, and without discounts I don’t think it can compete. Tomorrow will be the first tell.

It’s good that Mage was unjustly nerfed, else we wouldn’t have you back;)

Do you think Mage in standard won’t be able to compete without Incanter’s Flow? Or even that it need’s the quest card to be good? I’ve got a question for you.

If I myself, was able to build a new mage deck for standard, an pilot it to a certain rank after the nerfs. Would you consider mage much better than you envisioned, or call it good luck on my part?

I don’t think the class lives an dies by being able to play the quest card like other classes for example.

You’re very good at phrasing things in a manner that could be sincere, or acerbic…
If I am being honest, I don’t care about Quest mage. (I said so earlier, as well.)
Rather; I care that this is the same pattern that Team 5 has repeated, over and over, for multiple expansions.
Does anyone really believe that they could not predict that IF and RSW would be problematic when they designed them?
Does anyone actually think that only giving Mage one viable deck was some sort of unforeseen outcome?
In my unvarnished opinion, Team 5 could not care less about the state of the game. They pander to the whales and the Redditt crybabies, and their only objective is pack sales. They milked this expansion all they could, until the cries of players with hurt feelings got too loud, and then they did what they always do.
They made the class quite likely unplayable, and I wager it will remain wherever it falls to until the next full expansion, when this charade will play out all over again.
If you are truly glad to have me back then thank you. Glad to be back.
Sorry it was to say that I was right about Team 5 and the way they behave with regards to mage and priest.

To create a playable Standard deck with Mage:

ensure standard, not wild or classic, is selected in the collections manager.

create a new deck.

select mage hero.

choose a mix of neutral and hero cards until you have thirty cards and your new deck is complete.

rename your deck to PLAYABLE STANDARD MAGE DECK. This is the most important step, and can also be done if you have not selected standard or have not selected mage.

play a game with your new PLAYABLE STANDARD MAGE DECK.

Coming from you thats a compliment.

You know NOTHING.
You spread misinformation.
You have a very clear agenda.

Seriously, go back in to that hovel you were in the last 2 weeks.
The forums were a better place without you, your agenda, and the misinformation you claim is fact!

As a mage player, I agree with the nerf, but I also think Mage needs some buffs elsewhere. I tried to play other decks, I tried with spell dmg, frost, fire, secrets, elementals, etc… but nothing works consistently. Atm Mage is stuck playing Quest Mage.

May i give a second feedback i feel regarding nerfs in general since you are mostly a wild player.
Id nerf 3 decks raza priest this new quest warlock and amp mage i think all are prollly whats wrong with wild at the moment and all 3 are really frustating to play against.
If we go to standard mage needed a nerf it was stil strong in grandmasters too and warlock i feel needed bigger nerf more then mage.

Mage is barely tier 2 right now, lmao

Sure, and sure.

If anything, it’s down right logical to conclude as such.

I mean, these are the same devs who keeps getting called incompetent or other fun names. “Do you even play test your game” is another line often directed at them.

And these are the same devs that, according to you even, listen to whiners who, again according to you, don’t know what they’re talking about, whining about tier 3 decks and all.

In other words, this game is balanced by incompetent devs taking bad advice from ignorant players. Oh and they place emphasis on “feels”, not numbers.

The better question to ask is why would you expect them to be able to predict or foresee anything when that’s how they do things?

It’s like how republicans like say that those libs are both cunning in their schemes which they totally know what they’re doing, and feckless idiots who don’t know what they’re doing and are ruining everything great about this country!

We can agree to disagree on that one

Just like everything there are degrees, and I’m definitely not saying mage should be as board-centric as Paladin but games where only one player competes for the board tend to be very boring for me personally. That’s where the whole “different idea of fun” feeling comes from, I guess for some people fighting through 2 frost novas and 2 ice blocks then eventually getting OTKed in a way that is impossible to interact with is the kind of play experience they are looking for, I dunno… Blizzard seems very committed to the design philosophy so I guess they must be making money off of it somehow lol.

All i can say is i feel you but that noone gave jacksht when my class got nerfed soo

AHAHHAHAHHAHAH only i see the irony if a guy named Swampy tells Mell to CRAWL BACK TO THE HOVEL HE WAS IN THE TIME BEING?XD

Comment of the day. 10 out of 10XD

Imagine being so bent that you think a class is dead because of a one mana nerf.

He was like that ever since.

Because to the 90% of people who don’t play exclusively Mage, this game is enjoyable now?

Please don’t insult my intelligence by telling me where not to spend my money. Im a grown man and am perfectly capable of making the call of whether it’s worth it or not.
