If the meta is still similar after a patch, you fail

I saw Zeddy rant and how a card designer seem to enjoy people bashing him for pointing out the obvious. That the meta barely change. Let me very very clear Blizzard. If you do a patch and basically it’s exactly the same class leading the meta after the patch than guess what… You fail and did a horrible job. It’s a simple fact.

What? We can’t critize now… As far I’m consern hsreplay seem to indicate little to nothing have change with this patch. So that mean you fail terribly with this patch. It can happen right? Sure… Can we point it out without you start crying like babies?

What we can’t point this out? Wow… If the meta barely change after a patch that mean you fail and accept it. Let’s hope next patch will be better and stop crying when we poitn it out.

PS. I’m not a Zeddy fan but YouTube suggest me that video and I was like… What a card designer can’t accept the fact they fail… Wow.

Because not all balance changes are to explode the game.

They toned down some things and if you check Alec dawnson Twitter there is also a message talking about how this balance patch was more to prepare for the miniset in the sense that meta isn’t THAT BAD.

Yes. Paladins still overpowered. No the trifecta of paladin , mage and priest isn’t that far from the rest of the meta unless you’re talking about shaman and warlock especifically.

It’s not perfect but it’s decent for now.

…we can’t? Could’ve fooled me.

Its literally the exact same meta, no kidding check the Hsreplay score before and after the patch, its basically the same top class with approx the same % win. Basically it change almost nothing.

Anyway not like I care lately, its more about how blizzard cry like baby for pointing it out. Im more into BG but the fact a patch change basically nothing is kinda sad.

Agreed. As much was stated in regard to, for instance, the recent shaman buffs. That’s to say, these changes are not meant to be a punch in the face but a small nudge toward the right direction.

Some nerfs are meant to be rather definitive, however. Take a glance at the nerf to Deck of Lunacy and the card is hardly popular now unlike how it was come the beginning of FitB.

Not only is the meta exactly the same and shaman is still a joke. Pally still has at least three tier 1 decks. Yet other classes can’t even smell tier 2. No hope for balance ever.

Give up hope for anywhere near perfect balance – it ain’t ever gonna happen. But our ideal and what is striven for ought to be perfect balance. Although, ultimately, we need to realize this is an impossibility.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m just as dissatisfied as you are. I’d like to see a new class rule over Hearthstone. I want to see every class have access to multiple viable decks.
