If matchmaking is rigged...?

Nothing he said makes any logical sense when you really start thinking about it in real application.

It’s just a brain dead assumption that game forces you to 50% based on how much you have won or lost and compared to your opponent. Are you 100-101 and your opponent is 101-100? OH, that means it gives you the win because you’ve lost more. This is dumb, of course, but that’s essentially what he’s saying.

Which is all obviously false. Some people have an all time loss of around 40% from 10,000 games because they play nothing but meme decks. By his logic, that meme deck only player should be winning a whole bunch more because he’s not even close to 50% win rate. They should be winning games hand over fist.

This is all provably false in game, right now.

I went 17-0 earlier this month with DH in Wild. The games didn’t get harder. I was clearly winning like crazy and at no point was I given a forced loss.

Same thing when I played Pirate Juggernaut Warrior and went 23-0.

You can go in the game right now, lose 100 in a row, and by his logic, you should be gifted free wins for quite some time to get back to 50% win rate. And yet, we absolutely know this doesn’t happen.

Bad logic is bad. He literally put zero thought into it.

Now watch for the bad explanation. Incoming 3…2…1…

EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaand nailed it. I’m batting 100%.

I already said, it depends whether you suck or are okay at the game, let alone if you are more than competent. You are asking how it is allowed for it to be so easy for you to outsmart monkeys like it is some sort of achievement.

This is false, lol, casino is literally rigged. The payouts of the machines are set to 92-97%, and the things you can play live have other ways of favoring the House (i.e. roullette has a 0 to skew odds in their favor when you play red vs black or even vs odd; in BlackJack your hand is shown first, so if both you and the dealer bust, you lose, etc)

The hypnotizing and the dopamine manipulation are just to earn even more money.

Actually amazed here how you didn’t know this. What have you been doing all your life??

Those are average odds, it is possible for the machines to pay out more than had been put in over the short term. Because they use pseudorandom number generation with really long sets, it’s not exactly fully random, so over the long term it’s impossible.

It’s not rigged because there’s always some law about making the exact odds per machine publicly available. Granted it’s probably in fine print on a plain white sign somewhere, barely distinguishable from a liquor license, but the casino is technically telling the public that the average payout is 0.92 to 1 or whatever. Rigging is fraud, by definition; a house advantage is not rigging.

I feel that way regardless of whether I win or not at this point. Since we like generalizing in here.

I get what you mean, but I wasn’t generalizing; I’m aware of your type; I was talking about others who think another way. I’m not the other extreme anyway since I like to never say never if I don’t see the code especially when it goes to manipulation that is undetectable by third parties (e.g. manipulating the MMR).

Soros obviously Post must be at least 20 characters

Where are my forced wins? I have been using 2014 basic starter decks and haven’t won a game in 10 years.

You can in fact be bad enough that you never win. That’s on you though. I just won 3/3 games with basic starter deck no problem. But I’m actually halfway decent at the game. Now I just gotta prepare for the swing the other way, since that’s how it works.

I don’t get opponents that just conceded in the first 3 seconds they actually play their games and they are all using meta decks. Can’t compete when my best cards costs 5x more mana and have 1/10 the stats of their worst cards.

A disconnect will make you win sooner or later. Also when I go in wild for a trip of many losses because I try to do Achievements the weirdest things happen, e.g. people who just don’t play and then concede on their own or whatever.

Same. Again, see above. If you are bad enough, it is possible you can indeed never win. You must be very special in this regard.

Yeah, too bad that mostly never happens though.

I mean I don’t get how one’s ego can be destroyed by being bad at a game, so much so they make excuses. Being good at a game isn’t gonna get you all the babes or a 7 figure job. Literally no one but you cares. Just admit you suck and abandon the absurd notion that ONLY YOU AND A FEW OTHERS can notice a supposedly OBVIOUSLY RIGGED SYSTEM yet can provide 0 proof.

Innkeeper doesn’t count. I can beat the Innkeeper 100% of the time. I am talking about playing against people on ladder.

Does one face the innkeeper in Wild Ranked? Interesting, that’s news to me

If you keep losing, the MMR turns so abysmally low that you can’t believe what happens.

Part if it is you will get people who keep disconnecting and that’s why they are low MMR.

“Blizzard has an algorithm that makes you win if you’re losing too much and lose if you’re winning too much”
“I’m only losing”
“Well, now skill matters!”

If you want to be accurate next time try actually quoting what I say. I understand why you didn’t though as it would make me look a lot better and make you look foolish.

Rigged is a word to mean unfair. If a player is regularly matched against players that are better than them and can only win 40% of their games, the matchmaking is “rigged” or unfair for that individual. Rigged is an aggressive way of saying the matchmaking system is poor and there are winners and losers.

That’s actually not the case. To be rigged means something is “manipulated or controlled by deceptive or dishonest means”. Whether that is fair or not, depends on which side one is on, whether it is fair or not is just an opinion.
