Hello everyone,
I came up with a couple of ideas (maybe not new) to promote a little bit more the idea of enlarging each player collection.
These ideas do not concern Standard, since I think it wouldn’t apply, but Wild instead.
To be more precise, the main idea is to promote a little bit “old and (kind of) forgotten” cards from the past in order to (maybe) stimulate their use in Wild format and even to acquire them for the Collection at a reasonable price.
Ideas:
1/ Promote the use of a certain card: Every month (or so) allow the use one (or more) card as if it were a “wild core set” for everyone in Wild format only. For instance: 1 common card, 1 rare, 1 epic and 1 legendary. Even creating achievements to use those cards can be an option as well.
2/ Promote the acquisition of a certain (almost forgotten) card: Just as we saw last December (creating a special promotion to acquire SIF and RESKA signature cards for gold during that month), the idea would be similar: every month (or so) leaving in the shop one (or more) wild cards at a reasonable price. For instance, just as before: 1 common, 1 rare, 1 epic and 1 legendary.
These ideas are also thought to help completing one’s collection, so it implies that not all cards promoted as described should be “top tier”, but often the opposite.
I also think promoting 1 (or 4 cards) every month won’t be “meta-destabilizing” in any case and at the same time it might help long-term players to fill blanks in their collections (personally it’s not my case, I sadly have too much blanks to fill and this won’t make a difference but it could help nevertheless).
Idk wether these ideas are nothing new or not, but I leave them there and feel free to discuss them.
