Ice Trapped spell still triggered Rat Trap

I just noticed that a spell caught by Ice Trap still triggers the Rat Trap. Very annoying, should be fixed asap as it is probably a common interaction nowadays!

I think that the logic behind this is that rat trap says cards “played,” not cards cast. You did technically play the card even if ice trap returned it to your hand.

Then again though, if this is intended, there’s definitely inconsistencies since I don’t think
Sasquawk plays spells that were returned by ice trap even though it’s repeating all the cards you played last turn.

I think this should get a look at, and either change the other play cards or change this to be in line with the rest.

The problem is that it’s not consistent.
A card counter by Ice trap can trigger Rat Trap IF it was the card triggering it (your third card).
If Ice Trap counters your first or second card of the turn, then that card will not count toward Rat Trap and you will in fact need to play 4 to trigger Rat Trap

Hm, I played the trapped spell as my second card, and when I played it again after, the Rat triggered. (I first played Griftah, then played the amulet for 1 mana, triggering the Ice Trap, then I cast the spell again, planning to end my turn without the rat triggering, but the rat unexpectedly entering the battlefield instead cost me the game).

If this is the intended interaction, then the wording will have to change, because it is absolutely not intuitive. For instance, the definition of Rogue’s combo-effect is “A bonus if you already played a card this turn.” An ice trapped card does not activate a combo, even though the wording is the exact same as on Rat Trap (“After your opponent plays three cards”).

Ice Trap does not say the trapped spell is countered, though.

It is returned to hand instead of being cast
Which is in fact more explicitely indicated that the card does not count as being cast instead of just having “no effect” as in the “counter” definition
But Ice Trap could indicate that it counters, it would be as inconsistent as it is now
