Maybe it is just me, but all these weird effects are so annoying.
I also don’t enjoy any builds.
I remember playing pogo mech, battle cry murlocs, death rattle mech bombs etc.
I dunno, everytime I see mechs, elementals missing I just leave cause I hate undead, don’t like dragons,…
Quilboar are decent but this just isn’t fun.
Can we get normal battlegrounds again?

If you imply you lose a lot more, it might be because F2P players might look better “skilled” this season, because anomalies are overpowered compared to Heroes and they don’t need Pass or tokens to have.
100% of quitters do not win. Imagine that. All of the tribe combos you speak of were short lived overpowered cards that really needed nerfing. This means you are not adaptable in your playstyle. If you practice that skill, current BGs will be more fun. Heck, some of the most crazy highrolls in BGs are from the discover a quest/trinket/hero power Hero’s because if you adapt and choose a build to compliment it, you win.

I have seen you say this several times now and I would love to know how you arrived at this conclusion.
There does not seem to be anything about this season that would be related to paying or not paying. I do not see the battleground mode as pay to win at all. The advantage one might recieve from additional hero selections is minimal when most of the hero choices are midling to poor.
i think thats the same guy who wouldnt stop repeating blizzard wont nerf high rarity cards because they dont want to give us dust
he stops doing it whenever the do nerf many cards like this time only to start again the next time they nerf only a few cards
You cannot really “Play” BG’s and “Hate” a tribe. You need to be able to play with all tribe combinations or you just don’t play auto battlers.

It’s logic on the differences of power. The difference of power between two heroes is often low-ish. Hence having the overtuned anomalies up makes the hero differences pale in comparison.
PS Granted this might not be VERY applicable for the highest skilled players who can squeeze every power out of specific anomalies with specific heroes,
but most players at rank ~6K and lower won’t be able to do any of that so the anomaly will rain supreme over any of their hero differences.
It is one interpretation, but I do not see your logic.
I see it as low skill expression and rng evening out the players.
Often the anomaly has a specific tribe or pattern that is correct, making the contents of your shop - do you roll the right guy y/n - the difference between winning and losing.
There is little decision making in anomaly as everyone has the same conditions as opposed to quests or trinkets where choices matter.
So many of them are basically vanilla with a couple extra coins and thereby meaningless.

At the beginning of the anomaly seaosn yes there were some clearly broken combos between Heroes and the Anomaly in that lobby that interacted oppressively with specific tribes. The majority of them have been banned now and it is far more balanced than at the beginning.
There are a few anomalies that have specific play patterns but that is exactly what the anomaly is there for. It is forcing you to play the game in a specific way that is different than how you normally play.

And are you not having fun?
I am not.
When Jeef’s guide is simply “Pick a default panda skin to hide your match history from other people” what is the point of the anomaly? It’s just vanilla but everyone has the same hero. I do not find them to add anything interesting to the game nine out of ten matches.
Thats what happens when you have a game that is already dictated by luck… and you add a lot more random luck factors to the game. I’m a 52 yo gamer and I have never played a game more dictated by luck than BG. Every aspect is dictated from luck from hero selection, to what the tavern has in it, to what your triple options are… to how combat plays out. There is no skill that can get you a card… just ways to hope to get lucky to get.

I just came here to find out what others are saying about BG’s and your post is the first one my eyes landed on. I only play BG’s at this point but I’m no longer enjoying them anymore. They are very imbalanced and I’m noticing lately just how “rigged” it really is in the sense that it’s frustrating to see AI playing so badly on my behalf i.e. a minion has 1 health left but my minions won’t kill it off and will only hit the highest health minion. There are so many times where it’s very obvious that Blizzard is picking their winners.
I also gravitate heavily towards mechs because they are so fun for me but they are so weak so choosing them is a guaranteed loss!
It’s not more “rigged” than for other players. If you mean obnoxiously random then use a different word, because rigged means you are somehow targeted by the Devs as if they care.
You cannot do that in an auto battler. You need to play what is best given to you in the tavern. that’s just how the mode works. Forcing a comp is a guaranteed way to come in last.

Yes though, they said they want to have fun, so they prefer to lose.
