If you use your DK card, you lose the buffs to your hero power (the ones you got wth wildfire), also if you use Daring Fire-Eater with Reckless Apprentice, it doesnt work. It is suppose to be like this??

I’ve been playing even hero power mage, but I once got OTK’d by brann>daring fire eater>daring fire eater>reckless apprentice and I had been looking forward to giving it a shot!

I’m fairly certain that Death Knight cards have always replaced your hero power with a new one, it’s not upgrading an existing one.

It appears wild hero power mage also got a buff, no clue if it’s intentional!
Reckless Apprentice now lowers the cost of frost giant by 1 for every single shot fired. One reckless on a full board with even power mage and your giant is ready to go! Before today, reckless apprentice had no effect on frost giant cost.
Shrine pings still only count as 1.

You could, like, hold a Wildfire until after you transform. That should still work to increase the damage.
Daring Fire Eater used to work, I have replays. Disappointing if this was intended because that was an essential interaction in my wild hero power deck.
Prior to the patch, the Wildfire buff would carry over to Frost Lich Jaina, giving her a 2 damage ping (or better).
It would also apply to any other damaging Hero Power you got, eg. by using Sir Finley to get the Hunter Hero Power.

may be it just got bugged with the new patch.
Doubt it’s a bug, since Wildfire misses a very crucial set of words: “for the rest of the game”. Without those words, it means it’s a buff for your current Hero Power rather than a permanent alteration for the current game, meaning the buff will disappear when the Hero Power changes.
