its insane how at lower MMRs people actually expect you to trade minions at tier 1, like really.

I’m still yet to even try it.
The descriptions I read of people’s experiences with random partners is enough for me to stay away.

the worst partners are people who sell all their minions then throw a hissy fit and spam your board with emotes. then they try to add you and then I respond by saying something like “I sell my soul to satan to curse you and your future offspring”, then they immediately delete me.

Same. Haven’t played a single game. Trying to play a 2v2 game with some random and cooperating through emotes and board cues sounds terrible to me.
Still don’t understand why they scrapped Duels and decided to invest time and effort into this instead. No hate to whoever is into it though.

its not as bad as the posts make it out to be, tho it can be at times. I encounter a bad partner in maybe 1 out of 7 or 8 matches in duos these days. so nothing terribly common. the real issue i tend to get is a partner that sends me something that makes a triple but far too late in the turn and so i end up with a weaker board because i couldn’t play it in time. thats maybe every other bad partner… so 1 in 14-16 matches?

They experience nothing unpredictable. It’s a team game online. I bet it’s great if you play only with friends (even if they’re online friends only).
All games online are like that. They may give the impression they are not only on lower ranks when wins are easier.
the amount of folk on here that seem to be proud of their unwillingness to play a co op mode merely because they lack any friends, or lack the ability to use the in game communication abilities provided is just strange to me. I know Im not a normal player by any stretch of the imagination but even I can have some fun in a mode that has the unique challenge of “it sure would be ideal if i could freely speak to my partner… but all I can do is use these few signals to do so”. Eventually sure the bad pairings happen, but Im no stranger to just bailing on a lobby and moving on, it being duos has no relevance lol.
Well, thats kinda simple, cuz no new mode works if u have to compete with standard, and blizz hanst learnd this.
That’s a strawman. We have experience on it so we have no unwillingness to try it, since we have done it already.
It depends a little on if you care to rank and if you can rank. The higher rank the easier to see tentions with pugs.
You were not among the folk I was describing. So, no, not a strawman unless you can speak for everyone I was talking about. In which case, I think you might be writing checks for those folk that they cant cash lol.
It’s certainly the most fun mode currently going . So long as you get good partners!
yeah it is fun at higher MMRs, just at lower MMRs it is not fun because people dont care about conceding (as much)
