Players who say hello are bmers. Nearly every player who says hello is a bmer later in the game. Anyone else see this pattern with players. Those who don’t say hello can still be bmers, but those who do say hello are nearly always bmers.
Doesn’t really seem to be the case.
No. Quite the opposite, in fact. Usually if someone’s gonna BM me (which is fairly rare in my experience) they open with a threaten or thank you.
I completely disagree.
On a side note, ever since I swapped from spending more time in Casual to just hitting Ranked, I’ve seen like 1/100th the amount of BMing as before. What mode are you mostly playing in? I’ve found Casual opponents often care way less about wasting their own time in addition to mine.
Ranked wild and standard.
If it makes you feel better and more secure, sure. I assure you whenever I greet my opponent at the start of a match, it’s out of sportsmanship and not bad manners. Consider this is also the intention of many of the players that greet you. Not all, but many.
Warcraft games usually start with “gg gl hf”, ends with “gg”. Good old days where we don’t think too much about bm. Probably it’s the sound that’s annoying.
I rarely touch Wild so I can’t speak for that, but the Standard ladder contains very little serious BM in my experience.
Not my experience. I squelch when I see a BM.
I can’t speak for the US server, but my experience is that “heavy” BM is relatively rare both in ranked Wild and Standard.
The most common manifestation of BM I get is people emoting Hello just before lethal, and even then, it’s more the annoyance of someone being a sore winner.
People who will spam emotes do exist, but in my experience I get to face one every 2-3 weeks at worst.
Pretty much my experience.
I trade a fair number of "wow"s and such across matches with folks, but it’s often mutual with neither side getting spammy or anything.
Hello there
General Kenobi
My experience is that anyone that hits any emote other than Threaten with Priest turn 2 after they heal your face or a couple Jaraxxus Emotes keeps spamming emotes throughout the entire game.
I say hello right before lethal.
If a beautiful lady said hello to me, I would tell her keep talking.
Fame:…Hello !..wait thats not my way…i mean…WOW ! Extraordinary ! Amazing ! Astonishing ! Incredible ! By the Holy Light !
my Hellos are only for ppl i like on ladder :)…not for bm purpose…WoW is my bm(trolly) purpose(on match start up)
…i love to threaten with Anduin then heal opponent face…or call ppl as my puppets if i play as Nemzi
other than that…i use emote to be sarcastic when opponent fail play :3
and i mentionned it in other threads b4…i like ppl bming me…i find them more enjoyable(as long roping is not part of the bm)…roping is the 1 thing that can tilt me rly bad…well i’am a Sonic minded person so you can imagine that its torture to me :S(gotta go fast, faster faster faster !)
EDIT: you may call me a clown of service
I have one sentence that will sum this up…
FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!
I auto-squelch everyone before they can say anything so I don’t have this problem
my experience is opposite and so is how i squelch… weird… but everyone has different experiences
I usually find a hello within a couple of turns is a quiet player or a nice one…
I can’t speak for anyone here but at least I always say hello before a match. Some say hello back others don’t say nothing at all. At least for me I consider it good sportsmanship and it’s what I’ve always done. Even when they win always send them the “well played”.
Unless you play priest. It’s amazing how much more BM I see when I switch to a priest deck.
I know I sound like a total noob lol, but what does BM mean? I try to be friendly when I play if my opponent is friendly. But I typically squelch every game from the jump unless my opponent is playing the old murloc dude, he just cracks me up and I don’t understand what he’s saying anyway lmao
