Every deck either runs Archivist Elysiana or the game ends before fatigue hits.
Do you guys really enjoy having 10-20 random cards instead of the risk-reward of the fatigue system?
I hate Elysiana.

never seen elysiana, the only decks which go to fatigue are nomi priests/druids and they do it on purpose
I assure you above rank 40 Elysiana is quite common.
I don’t like neutral fatigue protection like Elysiana, because it’s identical. It makes control mirrors feel like deck mirrors. You hit fatigue with control shaman versus control warrior and it just feels like a mirror.
Blizzard “hates” the idea behind dying by Fatigue ever since WOTOG. That’s why they made cards like Nomi, Mecha’thun and in the past we had Jade Druid, Rogue Quest, Taunt Warrior, N’Zoth to finnish and overwhelm the enemy.
After some turns, you going to get steamrolled by a win condition.
According Fibonacci the best Warrior deck is after all Mecha’thun Warrior but it’s just most difficult Warrior deck to pilot.
Now Fatigue only matters if you play a Fatigue deck even then you risk a draw. Which is ridiculous and unfun.
IK
Fatigue without otk means the match was a decision involving one, much like aggro mirrors.
Fatigue non-combo and decisions are a lot cooler than “draw 3 cards by turn 5, combo them, and win”.
This is exactly why I’ve always wanted a legendary that destroys copies of cards in your opponent’s deck that didn’t start there.
Tbh I decided I’d never do the whole Elysiana mirror thing and opted for Nomi and Mecha’Thun instead. It’s a really janky list but it’s been working surprisingly well
What Danger of fatigue? It never really existed in the game. Only Control Warrior regularly took you to fatigue in the past and that’s when they had Tank Up. Everything else usually ended 1 way or the other before Fatigue. Only difference we have now is that more decks have the armor/heal to get games that late. Only thing Elysiana does is makes it so that the passive decks that only remove go to the turn limit in mirrors instead of lucking out and going first as if both players draw the same amount of extra card player 2 will hit the first tick of fatigue first. IE if both player do absolutely nothing for around 40 turns player 2 always dies first.
i love the card
just by exisiting it makes those slow deck players to actually do something besides wait !
You mean you haven’t been playing against Rogue with Myra’s? Must be the only person in the game.
Agreed. Not because of power level but because she (and cards like Espionage) break the rules of the entire game so easily. Why is it okay to greedily draw your entire deck just to fill it again with 1-2 cards?! They’re really starting to undermine the whole concept here.
I used to love running grindy control decks that often took the game to fatigue (lol the days of running double Mind Control!), but tbh it must have been zero fun to play vs , it’s probably a good thing it’s not viable any more.
I’m sort of surprised they printed Elysiana as this encourages decks to go to fatigue and enables VERY long games , which the devs seem to have moved away from. Don’t really like the design, reminds me a bit of golden monkey decks, it’s not much fun relying on rng when you’ve played 25 turns into a game.
However it’s pretty easy to avoid such shenanigans, just play a deck that aims to win(or lose) well before the game goes that long and Elysiana becomes irrelevant.
Honestly, I think Fatigue decks were fine when they were viable, but didn’t use Elysiana. Elysiana turns the Control mirror into a clown fiesta, and makes the game go on for almost twice as long as it otherwise would.
I think if they would have let me keep Coldlight Oracle, this wouldn’t be a problem. I guarantee mill rogue could make the most aggressive deck in the game fear fatigue with all these shuffle effects.
