This thread could have been posted a couple of years after Hearthstone release. You appear to want ONLY STATS on cards and no effects.
Besides even early you could get “lucky” and have AOE so “no trading” isn’t necessarily something new (and trading was never gone either).

So far, my best Arena run this week was 7-3. It’s been quite awhile since I got 11 or 12 wins in Arena. What combo of classes carried you to 12 wins?
That is consistent with my own Arena experience with barcodes representing over half my opponents. Depending on the time and the server that I am playing on, barcodes can represent over 80 percent of my opponents.
Not true. But I would like to see cards with one effect instead of cards that do everything like zilliax.
The game has turned into overtuned gumbo for most players.
You are in the minority if you think having cards that powerful is a good thing.
Every class is supposed to have strengths and weaknesses.
Not having that has destroyed the product.
Auto-losing because I don’t have ready access to realistic healing while being machine-gunned down by a deck that never runs out of cards is the current hurdle I am struggling with.
Some classes have decks that are relatively consistent in both offence and defence, able to remove, build up and stabilize. Others are left to rely on ridiculously lucky draw and synergy between cards that require way too much mana because by the time they pop off, they’re already dead or at least may as well be unless the opponent hand an UNlucky slow start.
There’s too much disparity between classes and being pigeon-holed to only hyper-specific kinds of decks to have any shot at a half-decent winrate just makes me long for the days where even the most oppressive decks couldn’t RELIABLY draw every tool they need for any given situation and still OTK you.
oh you dont like combo decks and would like playing aggro decks instead …as a mage thats odd

I don’t like extreme power either, but many of you act as if last year it was classic HS when there’ve been OP cards since ~2 years after the release of the game.
And you can still do “classic” stuff like trading today so it’s not like all of that is gone.
There’s a lot of trading and positioning in my games
Sludgelock IS a board-based deck, after all, and some of my opponents still run positioning removals
I will admit that the game has been trending in this direction for years.
But it really is past time for something to be done.

Bro plays only 1 out of 10 classes, the one least oriented on trading and positioning, and then cries how the game lacks trading and positioning

It’s like playing a demo version of a game and complaining you only have 1 level out of 10 unlocked
I did about 20 arena runs the month before the xpac.
Results
1 12 win
2 7 win
1 5 win
1 4 win
And the rest of the runs were 3 or less xD
You have to have an amazing draft just to break even in arena. I didnt know about the bot problem i hadnt played it in years. Its insane how great the average deck you face is
Yeah im not gonna dissagree with any of this except one thing not all decks/classes are solitare in this game. Good points about possitioning and the mana though.
When I say that barcode decks are bot fueled, I don’t mean they’re bots themselves. I mean that bots farm gold in Ranked, then the gold is used to retire any deck that isn’t perfect in Arena.

Sorry but It is true. The ocassions where positioning mattered are so scarce that you might as well say they not existed.
Yea the point is you gotta play your average drafts out while the accounts only play the crazy drafts i get it
