Shamans were in a good spot during forged in the barren united in stormwind and battle for alterac valley.
They are so mid/bad atm

I miss Mages being good period. Out of all the classes, minus DK and DH, I’m pretty sure Mages have had top tier decks the least. I’m talking about legitimately good decks and not decks where, “OMG these Mages get lucky discovers all the time and wreck my homebrews!”
I can only recall maybe three metas where Mage reigned supreme very early on in Hearthstone’s life. Paladins, Druids, and Rogues have easily had the most Blizzard love. Those three classes rarely ever miss having a competitive deck.
The only reason Mage remains so popular is because the RNG is fun. Shamans have at least had a fair number of metas where they were the absolute best, though nowhere near the level Paladins, Druids, and Rogues have.
Highlander Shaman is top tier deck in the current meta.
even shaman in wild is good
a child could pilot it
No it isnt mate. Shamans are mid/bad
Dr holidae shouldn’t have been nerfed
You can’t tell these people anything. “Shaman is bad” and “Mage is bad”
Diamond-Legend
Shaman has a Tier 2 deck
Mage has 2 Tier 2 decks with a 3rd deck approaching Tier 2
They don’t want to hear that their class is doing good. They want to hear that it’s doing terrible so they can justify why they aren’t winning.
Plus I think otk shaman is only tier 3 because it’s a hard deck to pilot properly. The deck could be higher tier in expert hand
Yeah, but OTK Shaman isn’t the best deck. Highlander Shaman is.
A lot of what is holding HL Shaman back is Plague DK stock being so high due to all the Reno decks. HL Shaman has a fantastic matchup spread in its favor overall. The Plague DK is really hurting it. All other matches are 40%+
Unless it’s S tier i feel like most players think a deck is a waste of time. Nevermind that you can make legend with every class in Hearthstone.
No mate they aren’t.
Even when it’s S tier, if it’s their personal class, it’s not broken. Remember the Paladin debate we had a few months ago? Those posters were completely out of touch of reality. 3 Paladin decks the only one occupying Tier 1 and the spread getting bigger and bigger because they only kept each other in check and they said “Paladin is fine…”.
If data and facts can’t convince someone the state of their class, nothing will.
Not just this but it has to be the exact archetype with the preferred class. Then, maybe, it’s good enough.
What?
Yo, I don’t play these myself, but check this.
Secret, Lightshow, Sif, and Elemental mage all are viable strategies right now.
I just made an elemental aggro mage that has only 2 epics as the expensive cards. It was like a 2000 dust deck and has a near 50 percent win rate with few players. If more pick it up I think that will go up. Real talk. Check it out!
Come on, that is so far from the truth and either you know it or you are being ignorant on this topic.
How about the toxic big spell mage that dominated metas with an iron fist? Popping two huge dragons each turn or playing 20 mana of random spells per turn is just broken good.
How about no minion mage which choked the meta for as long as it’s key cards were unnerfed, which was a long time.
Then you got Sif variants which have been t1 at various points in time.
And of course, who could forget the draw your entire deck in one turn and otk your opponent deck (was it Malakai? Can’t remember the minions name)
All about as toxic as they come and dominated metas in standard and wild for extended periods of time.
And of course there’s secret mage in wild that has been a top tier deck for a long time.
No, because I remember you saying paladins were actually very quiet, because even they know the class was OP and went into hiding.
And this is shaman thread bro. Tell me paladins are living rent free in your head without telling me paladins are living rent free in your head.
Paladins were op I was enjoying destroying them but they were.
Never said they weren’t. My comment is about how Schy keeps telling stories about paladins defenders instead of the paladin class. Stories that contradict each other (as above, one moment the paladins were everywhere defending their class, but another it’s that they all went into hiding knowing the class is indefensible)
It’s one thing to discuss classes being OP, but it’s another to insult the players.
Oops. you forgot I’m also a Paladin player as my 2nd most played class.
Yeah, they went into hiding after the nerfs were announced and shut up. Before then, they were clamoring about how “fair” they were and how they weren’t broken just that other classes needed to be raised up to their level.
I remember a certain someone saying Paladin was just the baseline of what a class should be in terms of power.
Nerf announced.
Quiet on the front.
The hypocrisy wasn’t on my end.
Nah I didn’t forget. Being your 2nd most played class doesn’t change the fact that you have a strange obsession to insult paladin players, even if we can say they’re your fellow players (which kinda makes it worse you know)
Feel free to call them out when you see them in a thread. Why the obsession in constantly bringing them up when they aren’t even around?
Good thing I’m not calling you a hypocrite. Just obsessed.
Wow you really are irrationally upset over your main class being nerfed, despite the fact that all the stats suggested it was in dire need of a nerf… Schyla is far more neutral in his posts than you are in yours which for YEARS, have had a heavy Paladin bias. Its not far off that of Mall and Mage levels of bias you have towards Paladin. Ironically, also like Mall, you bring up your Paladin QQ in threads not even related to the class.
Cry more, young Paladin.
