These last 2 expansions maybe 3 are for a fact bad expansions. The thing is that they don’t seem to listen to the community. Everyone is dissapointed yet they don’t try to make it better, they did some nerfs but nothing serious. Paladin is untouched again, warrior is still broken and mage nothing serious, at least druid got a real nerf. The content that they brought was lame and boring, the same decks are used for 4 expansions now on the ladder. If they just start to hear the community the game will progress in a better a state, something very difficult I suppose for them. I hope the new expansion is good because it sounds promising ( every time they manage to ruin it though)
Well sadly we’re stuck with those expansions for another year. They need to consider changing their rotation method.
We get stuck with terribly designed power creep cards that impact future releases because they need to print playable cards that are even stronger to sell packs. It’s the primary reason HS is in a death spiral and getting progressively worse each expansion.
It’s not getting any better. People just getting sucked in from FOMO and sunk cost fallacy always disappointed with the new expansions and always waiting for that better next expansion that never comes.
The only way for this game to get better would be for someone to buy the product outright and take it private with a brand new design team.
Because nerf everything back to classic does not make anything better.
I lost hope for HS anymore because it to far gone.
I agree that huge nerfs are not the solution but they really need to shake off this mentality that perfect balance is a priority for people to have fun.
The game has, in fact, been pretty well balanced for a while. Yet people have, for the most part, been quite unhappy with the state of the game these past couple of years. There are multiple reasons for that but regardless of what these are they need to rethink their priorities when it comes to balance patches.
In my opinion fun > balance. Now, these two are interrelated, since obviously people will be very unhappy if 1 deck terrorizes the format too much for too long, but the most important objective for updates is to really shake up the field and introduce true novelty to the meta. They need to focus a lot more in taking archetypes in general and cards in particular out of unplayable status as soon as possible. This is most effectively done through buffs. And spicy buffs at that. Most of the buffs they do are way too shy. This expansion has been somewhat of an improvement in that front tho, with things like tsunami or Razzle Dazzler buffs. We need more of that from balance patches.
Aside from that, there is only so much balance updates can do for the sake of the game without the designs themselves being good. And that side of things has been lacking ngl. This expansion looks a lot better so here’s hoping.
Maybe, but I’m excited to see reno and titans deleted. Though I might be biased because I started playing regularly around the launch of badlands when spamming extremely expensive reno-yogg decks on me that I didn’t have the dust to use myself left me scars.
They never gonna be happy.
For boards to matter they need to be dificult to be dealt with and dificult means dificult.
No 1 card answer.
And when we get those boards people cry until nerfs are done.
It is on blizzard to stop hearing those people and accept that believe in something is sometimes bitting some bullets in pro of better profit in the future.
Those people are the worse this game can have :
They are the reason for patchs like the last one.
They incentivize others to be less competitive.
There is a really big list on How what i call as the “Power reset cult” influence the game for worse.
rogue is going to be the new class everyone hates for a couple months
Nice. Why exactly though? Have specific decks in mind?
massive starships or "garrote"rocks
When has rogue not been hated lol
I read rogue complaints even at times when rogue is the worst class in the game.
I used to like rogue back when it was it’s own playstyle.
ie: bounce and combo.
Now it’s just a bunched of poached effects from other classes
But I could say the same of every class, I guess.
The tourist idea was terrible.
There hasnt been a good expansion since old gods so…wouldnt get my hopes up too much
I loved the idea. And I also loved some of the execution.
But yeah, some things aren’t fair, like certain classes having access to 2 others, while most of the other classes got access to 1, and mostly a bad one for that class.
I’d definitely like to see more of this.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I loved the game alot better when each class had it’s own playstyle and flavor.
What good is 11 classes if every single one can do the same things?
It’s dual class cards with extra steps. There are differences in the mechanics of brewing a deck (requirement of a legendary and the sharing isn’t binary), but it’s mostly aesthetics compared to basic dual carding for the purposes of a deck constructor.
Well…
They technically are tri class cards If we put It like that.
The cards of the set can be played on their own class alone , together with other cards of the set or as the class that other class does tourism too.
That considering 1 tourist each.
Dude are you ok? Can you see what you are writing? Imagine playing for 10 minutes building up the board just to get renoed or yogged and if those things dont happen propably you will be dead because
almost every other deck is aggro. Use your brain
