I hate early scaling

The mini-set introduces another frustrating card: “Infestor.” Similar to the “Libram” cards, it can quickly spiral out of control if drawn early, reducing costs across the board. On top of that, “Infestor’s” effect acts like an aura—if its health is set to 1 and the opponent triggered its Deathrattle 4x, its health is keep at 5 Life points (ressurect, lock o,…)

If drawn early, it’s a god card; if played late, it’s trash. Some games, the enemy ends up with a +6/+6 on turn 7, while in others, they only get +1/+1. The entire set feels like a cake recipe with steroids, all forced by power creep. It seems Blizzard has a recurring issue when designing cards that can be played by turn 3 and then influence the game indefinitely.

game is actually just: there is no right time to play, just play as fast as you can

Aggro decks are often dumb like that. E.g. the typical pirate DH was frustrating to pilot because it would either lethal almost everyone with a good sequence of the first 4 rounds or just die a horrible death because of bad draw.

I’ve figured a good way to avoid that nonsense is that if you go for a fast deck: to instead go for something slightly slower: e.g. a duration ~7min deck or slightly faster (duration as reported by D0nkey).

It depends on deck composition as well. E.g. a typical Treant Druid was more immune to the problem even if it was very fast but those kinds of deck tend to be nerfed because they’re too consistent.
