Do you have any active quests at all?

If you’re at Bronze and have completed the introductory questline, you should be able to return to the main menu to redeem your free deck.

It’s entirely possible that maybe they turned it into an achievement reward, so check those as well if you have any unclaimed ones.

Fires of competition, take 20 turns ,use hero 20, deal 65 dmg,
play barrens legend x 3, win 5 games ranked, and deal 200 dmg.
No free deck that i can find.

Do any of them seem different than regular dailies? As I said, there’s a line of quests for new players to complete. I’ve never seen it myself so I’m just going off what you have here.

I thought I did. I played against the game for quite awhile.
Well. I’m gonna give up.
Maybe tomorrow I will try the Asia server and see what happens.
Edit: Went back to Americas and Wild secret mage. Had an opponent play dirty rat, which pulled Sayge on turn 2. GG. Coming from f2p, I feel like a battered housewife who finally got to fight back.

No sooner than I got out of the tutorial and into bronze and
I was facing decks holding cards like Ysera the Dreamer and Alexstasa life binder.
Perhaps the pros can play f2p, but the average person is in for a miserable experience.

Ouch… we’ve hit a new bottom with that one.

Complaining about presumably new players playing the f2p cards ? Assuming they even are new… because starting at bronze 10 doesn’t mean it’s your first time playing.

And even Outrider’s Axe ? A rare ?

What are they allowed to use ? Only commons ? Not even core cards ?

I am going to ask a different question. Could you have accidentally redeemed the free deck without realizing it?

You can check your Legendary cards in the account. You didn’t already delete all non Mage Legendary cards, right?

No, I haven’t deleted anything.
But I don’t have the deck. Idk. I probably did something wrong rushing through the beginner matchups.
I’m going to try again tomorrow on the Asia server and see what happens.
I’m going to guess I did something wrong as I watched Trump’s f2p video and he got way more rewards than I have.
I stand by what I said. I cannot imagine a beginner facing what I saw at bronze 10.
There really wasn’t much difference in Bronze 10 and Diamond 2 that I could see.

How come I’m seeing a huge skill and deck level difference between anything below diamond and high diamond ?

For wild at least, idk about standard but I’m sure it’s the same.

And I speak with experience, I’ve tanked my mmr to bronze so many times and reclimbed with no stars bonus to Legend. I know very well what the level’s like in the low Wild ranks.

Well I’m sure I don’t know what to say beyond: “experiences may vary?”
I was playing with a mainly core deck against players that had mostly fleshed out
meta decks.
Perhaps i just got unlucky in matching.

The experience between 2 players can be different, when they seek different types of fulfillment.

One may look at Rank as priority while another look at collection.

It’s a bad experience even if it is free.
I cannot imagine being a player who’s new to dcg’s and having to go through
this.
No wonder the game isn’t growing any faster.

Truth to be told, while i agree losing a Lot feels bad, that’s the “regular” experience.

People starting a CCG, say, MTG, usually start with tabletop. The deck quality and player skill is mostly similar to what you see at the Apprentice ranks.

The thing is that the Ladder is a competitive mode, and If you’re gonna go into competitive, you can’t expect tabletop matches. It’s the same beatdown you experience at FPSs online, PvP MMOs and Mobas. It’s the “regular competitive mode” experience.

My point being, it’s a rough problem to tackle in any way better than what HS already does. At least where CCGs are concerned. What could they do? Extend more the begginer ranks? They already made the core set free. I feel the only actual fault os reducing the experience in casual compared to ladder.

Oh, I’m higher than that on other classes. Back in the day, I played my share of Lock, Hunter and Priest. I went straight Mage when Standard came along.
