I don’t understand how dust works on nerfed cards

Can anyone explain???

Nerfed cards can be disenchanted for there crafting cost.

Example: Lunas Pocket Galaxy can be crafted for 1,600 dust. You can for 2 weeks disenchant the card for 1,600 dust.

Golden versions will give the same value. I.E. to craft a golden Lunas Pocket Galaxy would be 3,200 dust. If you own a golden copy, you may disenchant it for 3,200 dust during these 2 weeks.

If you don’t own the cards, you may craft them to try them out aswell. An disenchant anytime during the 2 weeks to get your dust back if you don’t like the card.

So the benefit is that it gives full value vs not the full value on the other card collection but these ones specifically give full value?

I’ve heard that it’s worth not dusting as you somehow get the dust back in the end… or that’s some kind of gamble depending what will happen…

come down to dust them all.

IF after the nerf and the meta settles the deck is still good recraft at no loss. If the card is weeded out of decks dont recraft it and make something else.

Feel free to wait to dust it till the last day of the two week period. This will give you an idea of if keeping or not but if not going to be using right after the 2 week period dust untill you know you plan to use to not lose dust.

Esp for a card like dr boom the has only 1 set left till going wild unless you are set on playing CW for another set dusting for use in the next epac is a good idea.

I don’t know what you’ve heard, but Theman’s explanation is spot on.

Nerfed cards will, for about two weeks, be disenchantable for 100% value rather than 25% value like they usually are. This only applies to the cards that have been altered, and only for that short window.

Dusting nerfed cards and saving the dust until the meta has settled is the safest and best way to go about it.
There is no gamble involved.

The general rule is: If you don’t play the nerfed cards right now, dust them all.
You can always recraft them, if you need them (since you don’t lose any dust)

I think you are getting it mixed up with cards that get sent to the Hall of Fame.

  • Nerfed cards can be disenchanted (all copies you own) for their full crafting value. Unless you are using them now, it is in general wiser to disenchant them all. You may open them again from packs in the future and if not you can just spend the sudt you got from disenchanting them to re-craft them at no loss.

  • Cards sent to the Hall of Fame are a more complex instance: in that case you get awarded dust (without needing to disenchant them) equal to the crafting cost of the two (or one in the case of legendaries) most expensive copies you own of that card (e.g. if an epic card gets sent to the Hall and you own three copies of it, one of which golden, you get the crafting cost equivalent of one normal and one golden copy - 400+1600 dust).

This happening now is the first case (nerfs) by the way.

If you enjoy the crafting and disenchanting cards animations, this is your chance to spam them constantly in your collection. Go crazy!

The game will not draw the same legendary from a new pack if you already own the legendary. So if its a legendary that you want to dust and you still plan to open packs from the same set than you risk drawing the same legendary you dusted instead of a legendary you would have rather of had and would only be worth 400 dust therefor you lose 1200 worth of dust.

As a rule of thumb i never disenchant legendary’s from standard since i will always be getting some standard packs from the brawls.

You don’t lose 1200 dust if you de a nerfed card than draw it from a pack.

If you de the card than reopen it you in the end have the card and 1600 dust to make any LEGO you want.

If you don’t de the card you in the end have the card and 1 random lego

I would much pref to reopen it and have a lego of my choice from any expansion than one random one from a given set

with the no-duplicate rule, dusting legendary’s isnt worth it if you have a thin collection.

Trash legendary’s have more value in your collection because for each one you have it increases your chances of opening a good one.
