The deck looks about mid-tier two. Would you suggest something else?
And it may be effective for bronze-gold, but mid tier two isnāt winning more than 50% past there. There arenāt enough matches against favorable decks to be consistent.
Iām looking at diamond through legend. What deck would you craft on a new account with little resources saved? I lack that experience, alas.
ā¦
is what I said. Seems like a new account would be there, no?
Yeah, but might not be for long, depending. Most new players come from more complicated CCGs, so. Thinking of MtG.
All good, though. Thanks for the input.
Not sure if I agree.
Can you share more of what exactly youāre speaking about? and maybe give example of better f2p experience provided by other games?
I started being a F2P player years ago (where we didnāt had rewards system) and to me it was pretty fine already. I was able to experience most of the things that the game could offer without spending absolutelly nothing.
Of course I didnāt had top tier 1 competitive decks and many legendaries that Iād like to. However, it was perfectly fair for me considering that thereās not a bunch of games where I can have a great deal of experience without paying anything.
I guess thatās why is hard for me to believe that things are worse today considering that rewards system give you the chance to grind and get gold way faster than before.
Edit: Also considering the core set, new players will have a great set of legendaries and powerful cards without spending any money
i mean the premium in f2p is still the riot model, where you get everything for free in a very fast pace (i quit playing league 6years ago, and even now i still have enough resources to buy the next 100+champions theyĀ“ll release) and are only allowed to pay for cosmetics, not for power.
hearthstone certainly has improved on the f2p side of things with the core set and reward track, but itĀ“s still an atrocious grind to get a good collection (iĀ“m playing f2p since 2 years and i can play only half the classes and thereĀ“s only 2 i have an almost full collection), and with rotations outpacing goldgain even after the changes if you donĀ“t play 24/7 that is not about to change much., thereĀ“s so much room for improvment.
but ofc they are afraid people wonĀ“t spent money just to reward them for a good time they had with the game, and with current traction of their design that might be wise.
Hereās the thingā¦
Next month is rotation. This is the time of the year when power creep is at itās highest. For new players that want to be competitive, they should focus on gaining and stockpiling resources. They donāt need to win to gain XP for track. And they can reroll quests too.
I see.
I never played any Riot game so is tough for me to argue, but still Iād like to ask: they also have a card game, donāt they? legends of runeterra? Wouldnāt this one be a more suitable choice to this comparison?
Edit: let me be more specific: Is hard to me to figure how they could make this game viable and yet profitable if you could, for example, obtain every card of every expansion only playing the game, you know? So I understand that hearhstone business model was build like this because it needs to work that way. Iām interested in hearing how it could be different, though
