This game is never gonna’ improve because it does not have to.
There will always be players dumb enough to throw their money into the toilet.
I have played since 2013, and every year the game gets more broken and mindless.
Stupid me, still here, hoping that the morons who are responsible would have some kind of epiphany and realize they are are producing garbage.
The fact is that they don’t care. if people are willing to pay for garbage then there is no reason not to sell it to them.
I am the dumbest of all. Stupid enough to hope that someone might actually decide to restore the game back to some form of sanity.
Anyhow. finis
I only spend 20 am expansion now and have so for the past three
this game seems to be just fine for me, sure theres a few things that are a bit powerful, but name any card game that doesnt have issues
I am tired of a ten mana game where you get killed or it becomes impossible to win by turn 4.
A game where there used to be clear cut roles, and strengths and weaknesses for each class, but that didn’t sell enough card packs, so they made every class capable of everything to some stupid degree.
You cannot balance what they have printed.
There will never be a way to undo what they have done unless they are willing to trash some text and some stats and just start over.
maybe instead of trying to win, you just relax and have fun, build a meme deck, and just have fun
if you are not having fun, youre playing the game wrong
thats what happens when you decide youll hate whatever they add to the game before it gets added
And why would you ever imagine that claim is true?
It certainly isn’t anything I have said, other than to say the game cannot be fixed by merely printing more cards.
You cannot fix the game without removing some effects, or dialing them back to sane levels.
I’m not taliking about balancing one card here or there.
I’m saying nerf keywords or ban their use with other keywords.
I’m saying get rid of interactions between cards.
Re write text for a mass of cards.
and nerf stats of those cards as well.
Right now, the game takes free effects, repeated effects, draw, and mana cheat to a point that
anyone who doesn’t want to play that sort of thing cannot play at all.
There is nothing original possible anymore, because the cards they have printed are auto includes.
Casual is just like Standard and Wild now.
Team 5 might as well not have different formats, because the decks that you face are the same no matter what, thanks to their indifferent, and lazy card design.
Then why don’t you quit it?
You’re singing this song of doom and gloom since god-knows-when, were absent for several month, came back and are as agitated as ever.
Let it go.
Feel free to ignore what I write. Free thinking is a thing.
The game is unlikely to go back to what you want it to be but there is a fair chance a new mage deck you like will exist at some point and then be promptly nerfed.
Now this, I believe:)
I heard a popular streamer say that people are bored with the game right now and the answer is we need new cards. Just a pure consumer, with no regard for the cost since they get their stuff for free from subs.
So yeah, don’t hire competant designers and balance team, just keep churning out more broken, toxic power creep and nerfing cards twice monthly after someone discovers the newest abomination.
Game is boring for a vast majority of players because it lacks meaningful interactions between anything but connecting face with damage.
In this kind of meta (actually meta is the wrong term here, it’s more of a permanent state of the game) the only way to create some form of interaction would be to give powerful defensive tools to stem the bleeding so to speak. That is, to slow down games enough so some cards other than the first 4 you draw after Mulligan matter.
Unfortunately, game balance is so borked that giving any powerful defensive tools usually means one or two decks take it and abuse the life out of it, like say ramp druid.
In my opinion, the only way to keep the vast majority of players is to make tempo or tempo variants dominant. Tempo decks intrinsically have a pacing that is appealing to a lot of players. Tempo decks usually start pretty slow but steadily turn up the heat and usually have a climax or satisfying peak moment in the game where critical decisions cumulate and define the out come at turns 8 or 9 typically.
This game completely lacks that now, either aggro decks dominate, or sluggish control decks, and nothing in between.
I believe the incessant power creep has transformed this game into this binary dichotomy, with it pushing out critical decision making, a core requirement of any successful strategy game, card or otherwise.
Most accurate description I have read.
you pretty much told us on the OP by insulting players who like cards and mechanics you dont and are willing to spend money to have fun playing with them
You are 100% correct I also am an idiot for thinking that maybe just maybe it had changed and was better then the last time I played it.
Then I come back to a card like Theo and Sir Den which take all the fun out of the game.
Yep nothing will ever change as long as you have SHAREHOLDERS running your company.
Not true, some people play to win and losing all the time to horrendously stupid cards makes people mad and frustrated.
What an oracle you are.
And if you disagree with my views then feel free to ignore them.
Your sage advice must come from someone else, since you seem incapable of using it yourself.
This game used to be run by gamers. Now it is run by day traders.
Yup and EVERY SINGLE company that is run by day traders destroys itself eventually because of GREED.
With iskar out there’s a chance to tone down the insanity
