I am the only one thinking the actual hunter deck is the best spell damage based of all time?
It’s obvious by the nature of the deck.
Hnadbuffing spells is superior by the simple fact you don’t need to play they the same turn.
Ironically the majority of damage from the spell hunter deck is weapons connecting to face and players playing into hidden meaning.
Cap. They can multi cast their spells. They can give future spells bonus damage in several ways.
Maybe they want to wittle you down to like 15-20 health beforehand, but they can legit kill you with raw spells.
How exactly are they doing 30+ damage in a deck with the only spells that can go face are Arcane Shot, Ricochet Shot and maybe Explosive trap? No way are you extracting 30+ damage from them. The minions and the weapons are pulling the weight in both Face Hunter decks. A single Starstrung is erasing more than a third of your health(without Aggramar buffs). The good spells they have are the ones clearing off the board to keep the minions/weapons going face.
You’re not wrong, and since the mini-set it is the best deck in the game in Diamond-Legend.
Likely going to get hit with a nerf again.
Celestial Shot now. Ancient Krakenbane also hits face.
That’s still not enough to do 30+ and Krakenbane is a minion not a spell. We are talking about spells here. Besides Kraken is a bad card i don’t care who puts it in their deck. it’s just flat out bad.
Also, i haven’t played against a single arcane or secret hunter playing that card.
I wouldn’t say it’s bad if it is making the list on the best deck in Standard.
Remember when hunters had skill command that also did 5? Don’t need to cast so many spells to activate though it didn’t come with body

If they have eagle horn bow today, that might be pretty scary too
I think that just goes to show how good the deck is now. We’re essentially saying the deck is so good that it does amazing even with backward power crept cards.
That kinda tells you how broken all the other cards are altogether.
What’s crazier is that a card like Starstrung bow had to be created to make a hunter face deck viable. If that was in the format just last year it would have been nerfed at least twice by this point. Now it feels like a pretty fair card.
We do get Eagle horn bows in todays game. They just cost basically nothing and equip for free for early chip damage till the bigger weapon can be played for ironically nothing and finish the job.
