Hunter still OP

When will they finally do something about Hunters?

It’s really tiring.

Why should they do something about Hunters? Because you lost?

By “OP” I assume you mean “Overpresent”, which I can agree AND which was to be expected when nerfs only hit one class (Rogue; a nail of Warrior as well, to be fair, and any class which could form up a Control build);

Similarly to what happened back in December 19th, which were among the worst nerfs in awhile, Aggressive Rogue was a good check/counter to 2 Hunter builds, both good, Secret and Mech Hunter; now, take Rogue “away” as a class pretty much by hitting it harder than a truck (seriously, was both Prep AND Raiding Party nerf necessary? And E.V.I.L. Miscreant was the joke of the bunch, like saying “think we hit it enough?”), thus allowing 2 other decently performing Hunter builds to come up “less threatened” (Deathrattle and Midrange Hunter) whilst Warrior is still around, which has a non ideal matchup against Hunter in the first place and what do you think will most people start playing or what do you think you’ll end up queing up against more often than not, when sporting 4 available builds spread between “T1” and “T2”, in other words, G O O D, functional?

I wouldn’t even know what could be done about Hunter to be honest. Not anymore. The curve could use some tuning, “Rogue style”, both in Midrange and Mech builds (not sure what to hit in particular), especially with the upcoming “Sw1ggity Sw4sh” or whatever the name is.

“Realistically” speaking tho, it’s still too early to tell if Hunters should receive a nice Rogue-Druid treatement, as much as I’d personally feel it’d be about damn time. Murloc Shaman/Big Shaman, Token Druid and Zoolock are good checks to Hunter; however, with 4 available builds, differing from one another, there is no actual “counter” to the Hunter class.

Ur last para don’t make sense? I mean it clear that the hunter build is weak against token druid. Murck shaman, zoolock etc so why there is no real counter?

My bad there, Token Druid can effectively count as the sole “Counter” to all 4 of the Hunter builds, except for the Mech Hunter matchup which is not too unfavourable to Hunter; however, things like Zoolock, while they have a good matchup against Mech and Midrange Hunter, they struggle against Secret Hunter. Murloc Shaman, whilst they have a good matchup vs Mech Hunter, struggle against Midrange Hunter (or really, any Hunter that will add Hungry Crab, because why not) while Secret Hunter and Midrange Hunter will Smurck on Murck Shaman.

So yeah, while Token Druid is a busted clusterf*** which sports good matchups against about 90% of everything else, it’s also the only build available to Druid, compared to the Hunter’s 4; makes the gameplan more predictable. We could also account Heal Druid, which is the Build that hardstops Secret Hunter (only) but seriously, Heal Druid, at least for now, is a better Freeze Shaman.

Alright. Got what you mean lol and yes I agree hunter is strong at the moment. It’s not because of anyone card though. Not easy to nerf lol.

you are forgetting cancer summoners mage. beat that with hunter, i dare you.

Its also the end of the season which is prime time laddering for Hunters.

Hi everyone. I played minion mage up to rank 4 this season and had a blast. However, hunters have crushed my soul since rank 5 and it is really unfair. Suddenly there is no strategy and reaction, just hoping for perfect rng so I don’t get killed instantly. Unless you get perfect rng and they somehow don’t draw any of their THREE perfect counters, you lose hopelessly. It seems like they have almost all good cards and you rarely see any variety in matchups. I suggest changing the cost of their bear mech to 4 and increasing the cost of their poison mech by 1. Don’t want to fight hunters all xpac. Their deck is also super inexpensive to craft making it even more unfair and will just add to it’s popularity if it is not nerfed.

That’s… A weird card suggested to be nerfed. I mean, why? Why Ursatron out of all Hunter cards? Just… Because???

  1. Which deck? There’s more than just one viable Hunter deck in the meta. Well, since you suggested Ursatron and Venomizer to be nerfed I assume it’s the Mech Hunter.
    And
  2. This is hilarious; first people say how it’s “unfair” how some of the best decks are too expensive for casual F2P players to make, accusing the game to be “Pay2Win”. And now YOU’RE saying how decks that are not only good but also cheap are “unfair” because people can afford them and thus become popular!

Ahh you people will never be happy, will you? :relieved:

Its their super amazing RNG handout thats make them so deadly. Logged in for the daily.

I don’t have a 2 drop.
Opponent drops Timber Wolf
On 2 I hero Power
On 2 they coin and play a Silverback Patriarch. I KNOW RIGHT! But hey a 2/4 taunt with the Wolf when your opponent has nothing.
My turn 3. How am I going to clear this stuff. I can’t take the board back and its only turn 3.
Then it gets worse they play Animal Companion and get A Misha! Nice a 5/4 taunt, 2/4 taunt and Alpha Wolf.
Turn 4 for me, this is just looking bad bad bad. Still cant clear any of this stuff with the deck Whizbang gave me. Guess just keep pinging hoping I get something in my draw.
Turn 4 they drop an Oasis Snapjaw. Ah the classics <3. Speaking of classic so far we have a 1 2 3 4 cost going for my opponent.
Turn 5 Houndmaster. NICE! Drop that on the Snapjaw and and the nails are in the coffin. Just 1 more turn for the official GG.

So a Hunter performing as usual. 1 2 3 4 5 6 GG.

Silverback and Snapjaw have never been in my Hunter decks.

Timber Wolf has made some appearances but not too many in my decks. And…if they are running Masters Call, they’re probably not running Houndmaster but Dire Frenzy instead…

…when was the last time you played?!

What perfect answers?

Actually, that would be the perfect card to nerf if you wanted to tune down the deck without killing it. It is surprisingly important, without being strictly necessary, and it’s is the best drop on turn 3.

What hero power pings other than Mage?
Then the Timber Wolf should be dead Turn 2.
You say you don’t have a 2 drop, then play your 3 drop.

Sure, sometimes Hunter gets the perfect curve, but that’s why cheap Beast Hunter decks are strong and they get wrecked by overextending into board clears.

Hunter gets overwhelmed pretty easily by any deck that can quickly flood the board.

Of which there are plenty of viable archetypes.

Nothing really happening here that screams for nerfs.

You mean exactly what they’re doing in Grandmasters?

We get it, you hate the deck, but it’s not unstoppable.
Hunters poop on Conjure Mage. No offense, but it’s not the class… or deck…

I liked playing against Rogue more than the current Hunter stuff. It sucked but it was OK - the games were faster and you felt better. Hunter plays more like a Warrior in that they just remove your board again and again and playing against Rat Trap is taxing. And so often when you finally stabilize you just lose to Zuljin.

And I don’t think that Hunter is “OP” - they are just really annoying when they are super common.

Still better than if Mage or Priest was the omnipresent top dog, mind.

If u think hunter is op now wait till they get access to sn1p sn4p and the new godlike 4 cost necromechanic as well. Hunterstone is upon us soon again

Siperos your opinion doesn’t matter because you’re always defending hunter you obviously want the class as OP as possible, disgusting.
