I believe @1.5hr/day of gameplay (pre-patch) will result with > 7200g.
Assuming for an average semi-committed F2P Pre-patch: target 9000g between expansion. (average: 1hr/day - reasonable?) Post-patch: to target 9000g between expansion
Track 1-50: 4200g
Track 51-54: 600g
Track 55-83: 4200g
How much additional hours required to achieve the 9000g target?
The quests get you to level 54, and then you need to average 1 hr per day for every 10 levels or 1500 gold. So 9000 - 4800 equals 4200. 4200 gold divided by 1500 = 2.8 hours per day on average. This is at the 400 xp per hour assumption and no tavern pass.
I wish I could say I was shocked that it turned out this way. I said before and lll say it again, if they force me to pay for this game Iām out and Iāll make sure to stay out by DEing my cards before I leave. Iāve always made 8k plus gold by just doing my dailies. Iāll be damned if Iām going back to grinding for an hour and a half a day to maybe make the same amount.
Plus, itās going to feel really bad to grind those higher levels and get an older pack or tavern passā¦which I donāt care for or need. Thatās basically grinding x amount of days/quests for 40 dust for an old pack.
I have played more today than I normally by a great deal. I finished all my weekly and daily quests, and I am sitting just shy of level 14.
I am pleased with the front end of this, but I am not sure the grind past 50 will be nearly as profitable as the previous system. I will have to crunch more numbers when I have more time to get a better sense.
Also, duels kind of sucks, imo. I just donāt understand why you have to choose any cards to start. Just set it up where everyone has stock first 15 and choices from there matter.
So far Iām really unimpressed by the system. It had a great start sure, with multiple dailies at once and the low XP required for the first couple of levels. But it quickly grows into quite a lot of XP necessary and having multiple dailies is not the norm, and the amount of XP you get for time is extremely, extremely low. Getting less than 50 XP per game when leveling up requires thousands of XP is justā¦ yikes!
Ppl are upset because they flat out said the gold you will earn will be the same and other bonuses would be on top of the gold. No one wants to have their gold force spent for them on old content
So while that is so generous, itās honestly better considered as ārandom dustā for most f2p players because what typically matters is being able to get as much of the set as possible as early as possible with gold.
Thatās why the amount of gold is so key to this equation.
Yes, but the reward track includes multiple instances of āprior expansionā packs.
I have no need for that at all. Iāll happily save up current-expansion packs for a mini-release and consider them each as 100 gold, but Scholomance (and next April, Darkmoon) packs are not something Iād be spending any gold on.
