How to play 2on2 with the Current Client / UI

Here we go!

2on2 Brawl!

Players Choose ther Class and Build ther Deck and go in Queue.

They will Team up with an random Team Mate.

Same for the opponent Team

So we have 2 vs 2

The game starts as usual and one of the Team Mates in EACH Team get rolled as

Player 1 and the other as Player 2

I will call them for simplicity in this topic P1 and P2 in Team Red, and P1 and P2 in Team Blue, for better explain

Ok enough of that

The game starts With Player 1 Team Red, he will have his choosen Deck and can make his play like in every other game too.

When he is finished he gives the turn over like regular.

Now Player 1 from Blue Team can play his moves like in a regular match.

And now the magic happens

When Player 1 from blue Team has finished his turn and gives turn over to Red Team:

The Player 1 From Red Team will vanish. He will dissapear and his hand and Deck too but the board stays same.

Player 2 from Red Team will appear now instead on his space with his own hand and deck. He will be now able to play from his hand and from his own deck.

But the board stayd the same.

When he is finished he gives turn over again to Team Blue wher also now the PLayer 2 appears with his own Deck.

Sound maybe a bit confusing to read it her but its super simple.

We play basicly a regular match but on each turn new 2nd Players appears.

  1. This way we would experience a 2on2 game mode finally.

  2. In the brawl format it would fi perfectly wher its more for the fun then the blanced ladder. The random queue helps a bit against too much broken combos.
I think people would play it for the fun experience.

  3. Th best thing is the UI does not need to be changed for this. This could be even done in Mobile Client. And i guess this is the most important part for Team 5 to not change the UI of the game for an new Format.

What do you think?

Plz like if you like, maybe we get some attention

So, its like two headed giant format.

Its like that solo boss that can change portrait and hero power.

Im highly agree.

By doing this, someone can finally become true healer class and making a deck focusing on healing stuff while the other have offensive deck. Just need to set up roles in the match making.

Its like whole new world. If its have its own reward and ladder, there will be another meta deck list and more.

And more importantly, this will give people more stuff to explore before bored of an expansion.

Yeah exactly.

I´m very carefully with this mode and thas the reason why i called it first for the Brawl fun mode.

The Brawl mode is perfect to test this kind of stuff.

If you try to make it serius for ladder this mode could open more problems in terms of broken combos.

This is why i sayd also you will up getting an Team Made at random to prevent a bit the planning of broken combos.

I would love to see a 2on2 ladder dont understand me wrong.

But for the first part i would already be ver yhappy to see this in a brawl fun format wher people donit expect too much balances

Hmm becaue you get a random Team mate, maybe you could set up roles for this format befor entering.

Like Tank, Heal, dps

I guess this could be a fun mode maybe even an own format in future. But it needs to be done very carefully

Three times more boring. You wait for not one slowpoke but three.

That a good point. But you could have a team Chat Mode. This would allow you to talk with your mate would help alot for the free time and plan strategys.

Setting this up is probably difficult, but playing this with friends while using discord to speak to each other could be really fun.

And above all: It sounds fresh and new, while not ridiculous or outlandish.

Sounds very similar to how tag duels worked with Yugioh on the Nintendo DS systems. Definitely a jumping off point at least. (it also doesn’t hurt that it’s also a ccg/tcg that added 2v2 later in it’s lifespan)

New ways to play are long overdue, and 2v2 would definitely be at the top of the list, but this:

Please no. So open to trolling. I would only consider playing 2v2 with a friend. That’s not to say random shouldn’t be an option, just not the only option.

Yeah i would also prefer to play with friends.

But how to prevent too much broken combos then?

I guess as soon you allow Teaming up befor match you will have really broken stuff.

Atleast the Teams are not plkaying together in 1 turn,. This already prevents alot of combos in 1 turn.

So i guess its maybe not that bad, because the opponent team can atleast react to plays.

I thought about a maximum limit for damage you could do per turn but this sounds not like fittingt othe game dunno.

But the HP should be 50 HP imo atleast

I would prefer to face broken combos than have a teammate with a deck designed to lose.

Yeah i guess your right.

The social component in wow was always the main reason why the game was so strong.

You could play with your friends together.

This is wher HS is most lackking.

Enabling to play 2on2 with a friend would open up a new dimension for the game.
