I don’t get it, I heard about people going into the game files and altering it in some way, but that sounds highly illegal.
Why would you need 60fps? It’s a card game.
It is.
Dont alter game files, in any way, regardless of how harmless it seems.
Some people really dislike 30 FPS.
Either that or it’s to speed up animations (if so, it would give an advantage and probably end you in trouble…)
No nothing like that, 30 FPS is just annoying. If there’s no legal way to then I won’t bother
If I may ask, why do you want to run 60FPS on a card game? I’m guessing for the animations?
I wasn’t referring to you specifically, I was just musing on the subject of “reasons why someone would possibly want 60 FPS Hearthstone”.
Apologies if it came across as an accusation.
Well my system can handle it, I guess it’s more of a “why not” kind of deal. And yeah i’m guessing the animations would be better.
GPU and CPU are barely in usage when HS is running (which ig is a good a thing) so I thought “why not”
You need to find your options.ini file inside your install directory, open it with a text pad or word pad.
Then enter a new blank line at the bottom, and type in the following:
targetframerate=60
vsync=1
(Note: the makers of the game are not responsible for any damages that may occur from this modification).
If you play on mobile, your battery is going to drain quicker…but it’s worth it.
That was an official response from a Blizzard employee.
Fair enough my friend
Animations times really suck if you got a lot of cards to play. This is the first time that I know you can alter the frame rate, LOL?
I’ve been running HS at 60fps on my phone and tablet for a while now and it’s honestly really nice.
As stated by the Blizzard rep though, there are reasons for those performance caps as most mobile devices aren’t meant to handle that. Even on my devices, it does drain the battery quicker.
