I really want to win more games but I’m coming up against better players. How many games do you need to lose to get lower MMR. Currently sitting in Silver 3 had a good deck but now it’s being creamed 70% of the time with just better players.
Thanks yes I don’t have a star bonus so that means I’m playing silver players…wow Hearthstone players got really good lately I used to easily get to gold…
I don’t know how many it takes. I also like to keep my MMR low. It makes achievements a lot easier. I typically will win try to 2, lose 2. If I just have Hearthstone open while doing something else then I’ll lose a ton in a row. I use a shaman deck with lots of burn and spell damage, then point it at my face. I don’t know if early concessions count for MMR or not and would rather not risk it.
It goes down by losing, but devs have said it has a floor so you can’t lower it more than reasonable by spamming concedes. For example, you might nuke your MMR from X to Y by losing/conceding 50 games in a row, but even if you lose 100 after that, you won’t go from Y to Z because the system capped you at Y.
I’m sure some would call it that, but I wouldn’t. If you’re forcing yourself into low ranks then you’re also giving people free wins by conceding to tank your MMR. Sure, it sucks for those you waffle stomp but is pretty cool for those you roll over for.
He’s not farming people. His decks are so janky that he loses a lot. Also, if he loses a combo piece for some reason he’ll concede then and there. He’s building YouTube content, not playing competitively.
So you’re mostly playing casual if I remember correctly, how would you feel if every opponent you faced were top 100 Legend players tryharding with a net deck ?
You think you’d be having a great time ? Pretty sure you’d just quit the game at that point.
I’ve actually switched back to ranked, though I still tank my MMR. Either way, if every legend player were “farming” people by conceding a lot then I’d have to be insanely unlucky to have every player I face be a try-hard legend player.
You certainly can, but it takes longer than people expect it to take. It takes several months of intentional losing to truly lower your mmr appreciably.
