How to add friends in Battlegrounds?

It was an epic battle for the top one spot, both of us played Murloc.

I finished with hundreds of stats on full board of all poison murloc, thinking that was enough. Now came the opponent, who had 6 murloc with okay stats (one of which had 200+ stats), and one non-murloc. One of his murloc always have divine shield .

So we were either tie or I lost 1 minion each game for about 5 games in a roll. I switched out 2 murloc for 2 Mantid Queens (5/5 poison with 1/3 chance of getting a divine shield).

My Mantid Queen got one divine shield for 2 games, so those were tied.

The last game, for some reason, his murloc no longer had a divine shield and I won.

I tried to add him to ask what happened, but couldn’t find a way to add friends.

Frankly I’m slightly glad there isn’t a feature to add people from BG’s; usually most people in just Standard seem to have their needs above those of others of toxic behaviors, likely a lot of rage adds or smug adds.

This dips its toe back into the topic of “Why not just add chat to the game”.

They can’t sell us emotes if they do that.

Were Naga present in the round? Could be he was using that one that give divine shield.
