How many wives does Mankrik have?

I have nothing against polygamy. To each their own, I say. However, I am curious how many wives Mankrik has exactly. I was versing a rogue, and he managed to Shadow Step Mankrik three times in a single turn. Mankrik managed to, thankfully I should add, find two of his three wives (maybe his third left him). At any rate, I ask again, how many wives does this orc have? He sure gets around.

In all seriousness, Manrik probably has one wife, and shouldn’t be able to be Shadow Stepped. Don’t you think?

I think the card itself is a bit slow and non problematic, but I really enjoyed your post humour :joy:

Just one, but people keep turning in his quest making him angrier and sadder.

I’m not versed in the lore on this part. While we’ve seen many orcs dedicate themselves to just one mate, I don’t think it’s written anywhere that polygamy is disallowed.

Given how Mankirk doesn’t get any less angry with each wife he found (always the same 3/10 stats), it’s apparent that no matter how many wives he has, Mankrik loves them all equally. So I guess it’s fine?

What’s worth noting is how good of a match maker Valeera is in setting Mankrik up. Maybe she should start a dating app/site. Something something rogues do it from behind.

How’s that? Or I was thinking…

The real question is: why all his wives are dead?

They’re not dead, but someone apparently keeps stealing them. I have a suspicion they’re running away. I’ve heard orcs can be abusive.

He has infinite wives. Someone find a wife every 17.4 seconds.

i thought he was mad because someone killed her.

Is that the lore? I figured someone stole her away from him. Or that she ran away.

Maybe his religion allows him to have multiple wives ?

Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with that, at all! I envy a man with multiple wives, although part of me has sympathy for him, too.

At any rate, I stopped being entirely lazy and looked into Mankrik. He has but one wife, her name is Olgra. He and her were seperated after a vicious battle with an overwhelming amount of quilboars.

And so, I repeat, this minion should not be able to be Shadowstepped, thereby allowing players to trigger this effect more than once.

Beaten Corpse is a quest target located south of the Crossroads in the Horde-aligned zone of the Barrens. This dead body is actually Mankrik’s wife, Olgra, and is found just south of Lushwater Oasis, next to her and her husband’s ruined huts beyond the bridge on the main road.

I am so saddened to find out she died… So, the question is mathematical. How many corpses does one dead orc have?

The question you should be asking is how many clones does Mankrik have? Because I’ve seen these things happen while ol’ search-n-rescue is still sitting on the board.

Perhaps the card causes tears in time/space, pulling wives and vengeful doppelgangers from alternate realities?

Will there be a mini set and can I expect Mankrik’s children to be biting my ankles anytime soon?

No children wife dead! It was established earlier in this thread.

Now I want a Hearthstone stage play called “The Merry Wives Of Mankrik”.

And so, I repeat, this minion should not be able to be Shadowstepped , thereby allowing players to trigger this effect more than once.

I think it would be funnier if every time Mankrik enters the board, they just add a random letter to the name of the wife card added to the deck.

“NOOOOOO!!! POLGRA!!!”

It is Time Travel. You can have the Makrik that doesnt know about his wife at the same time that the Mikrik that know about his wife. And each wife that you add to your deck also adds a Mankrik from another timeline. It make sense
