I’m mainly curious about what people think about the meta rogue deck that’s seemingly everywhere from bronze through to legend.
Recently I had rune of the archmage played about 4 times before turn 7 on me and I do understand that’s the archetype of the rogue, but I do want to know how you all feel losing to a deck that is inherently random.
I do enjoy counterplay immensely and strategizing what I’m up against. Paladins, Warlocks and Warriors have been fun to play because of how you can plan ahead. Rogue’s, not so much.
RNG works in my favor and against it often but then the mana cheating makes it pretty easy to high roll I think. Anyway, medium salt over.
I personally hate it, some RNG is fine and perhaps even necessary for the game but with rogues its just too much.

I feel like it’s a typical game of Hearthstone.
It almost always isn’t really about RNG but when it is i just carry it on.

way better than losing to my bad mulligans or realizing i built a deck with a terrible mana curve
which happens way too often!

I rarely lose a game that isn’t to RNG. RNG decides my mulligans. My draws. My opponents mulligans and draws. Every single game I lost is partially for RNG. Such is the nature of card games.
Even the most predictable of decks could contain wildcards the opponent changed. I don’t kid myself that I know for certain how many weapons/removal a person has on his deck. So a guy pulling out X card from thin air and a guy pulling out X card from his deck is effectively all the same for me.
That is to say: I don’t care.
RNG is fun most times
Like Bran+ Tess combo and it’s a damage spell and you start to panic if it hits you, you’re dead or stops lethal.
RNGesus take the wheel.
I feel that RNG falls into two distinct categories. There’s jank RNG where if I lose to a Fires of Zin-Azshari I’ll probably chuckle, tip my cap and bow before RNGesus. Then there’s the RNG that’s almost not RNG. Think Forged in the Barrens meta Deck of Lunacy. It was basically game over if played on Turns 1 or 2, unless your opponent was also playing Deck of Lunacy Mage and got a better high roll. That kind of RNG makes me not want to play the game. I feel like RNG is fine in controlled doses, but I’m not a fan of making RNG win conditions.
I do agree with this heavily. I didn’t mind the janky Ragnaros goes face when there are a board full of minions, but that was the game.
I do mind the deck of lunacy-esque RNG win condition which I think is where rogue is at now. Frankly I missed the poison.
I hate it, they took priest and made it playable… its so dumb
I don’t think I’ve ever lost to someone named RNG. Although, if I ever create a new account, I may use the name RNG for a little psychological warfare.
