Yet when you play the deck, you rope out instantly?? How is this not an exploit, and of course it will NEVER be fixed, because people continue to play this horrible mode.
Its just delay of animations. Nothing else.
They queue multiple ignites but the game waits till the timer is up. They play all the ignites before the turn end. What you see is just animations, they are long done playing the cards.
Yet my animations are so slow, I can only get a certain amount out before the rope ends. But I got killed with over 50 hp. There is no way these people are not exploiting.
Delays in animation. Yeah it kinda sucks.
Are you talking about the same combo?
Because different animations takes longer to resolve than others. For some effect you actually have to wait for animation to resolve etc. Also some minions on board effects might slow it down further
EDIT - thats what troubles me most - yet another inconsistency in HS. Either all animations should wait for animation to resolve, or none should and all should take relatively same time.
There are two ways to quicken animations:
In game: click on the card when its animation plays.
Out of game: edit your options file to enable 60fps instead of being locked to 30.
There is a current issue in Wild where players have hacked their client to cancel animations. So they can do ridiculous turns while their opponents watch a 3 to 3 1/2 minute turn unfold because they still see all the animations. Simultaneously, when the cheater’s turn “ends” it automatically skips the opponent’s turn due to the passing of time.
A few disclaimers: Not every person playing Ignite Mage in Wild is using this cheat. Enabling higher fps is NOT the same thing as cancelling animations. I feel this should be fairly obvious, but I want to make sure people don’t conflate the two. Enabling a higher fps in the game is 100% allowed. Going into the client to turn off animations is breaking the TOS and can get you banned.
It’s not an endless rope, just a rope that they’ve stacked up a lot of Ignites on.
Last time I played against a Chandler Mage, they ran out of animation timer on the last Ignite, when I was at 1HP, and I killed them next turn.
There are some people disabling the animations on their end, which is completely against the rules.
There really should be a report player button in game so they can look into these things and ban more people that are obviously doing it.
Really? That would be interesting to get confirmation on.
You can go to reddit and see posts. They’ve actually banned a few people.
Someone recorded their opponent doing way more animations than you could ever do normally. Blizzard commented and confirmed that action was taken against the account along with many others. They said they have banned tons of accounts, but who knows for sure. The only thing we know for certain is the account that was reported was banned.
This is definitely happening. There’s simply not enough time in the turn to do the actions they do.
When I’ve noticed this happening, and I’m not sure if it’s the same combo, the mage has a minion in play that lets them draw a card after casting a fire spell. I can understand the delay when it comes to animations playing out, but the fact that the mage also has to wait through the same animations then wait to draw a card, see it in hand, cast it, animation, draw again… so many times, sometimes after spending the start of the turn setting up the combo, it just feels like it’s taking much longer than any turn I’ve ever played.
And it’s also weird that I’ve never been in that situation and had the mage run out of time and not get in enough spells to kill me. I’m by no means a top player, but I have been playing for years, and I still have turns where I could get a kill and end up with the rope going off while I’m scrambling to get things cast, attack, etc.
The fact I’ve never seen one of these mages do what I know would probably happen to me if I tried it, ie run out of time after playing a ton of stuff and leaving my opponent with like two life and enough minions on board to kill me, leaving me with hitting the oops emote and looking stupid. I’d think I’d have seen that happen at least once by now.
If you have a replay, count how many cards they played in one turn to find out if they were cheating
They should add it as an option for everyone instead of playing whack-a-mole trying to ban it.
I was wondering about this. I got otked and my board wiped…then I tried this combo and couldn’t get no where near the amount of actions my opponent had.
Because they are cheating.
As others have mentioned most of them have edited their game files so they don’t see animations. Blizzard is aware people are doing it but just don’t care about it because it’s in wild and not in standard. If this was impacting standard they would have patched it months ago, but since it’s in wild we just have to deal with it.
It also sounds like your apm is very low. Even without cheating it’s perfectly possible to get a bunch of ignites off in a single turn if you play quickly.
