Without having rustrot viper, in order to counter weapon rogue… you would need to convince yourself that you should run a rustrot viper if you’re facing a lot of weapon rogues.

Freeze effects when threatening lethal, divine shield taunts, killing them very quickly, or OTKs also work.

Some people in standard run weapon rogue with Cutlass, which natively runs lifesteal. It’s not quite as fast as regular weapon rogue, but it can gring some decks out better.

The real options, for standard, are throw Viper in your ETC, or accept the L.

Taunts, many cheap ones work well. One big taunt is awful as they can silence or kill it.

Yeah, this is why starship taunt is pretty good. It’s at minimum 3 taunts.

i got got by a stickyfingers a few times.
In Wild I have been running an ooze because it’s 2 mana.
Doesn’t do much against a Kingsbane, except to put it back in the deck buffed and ready to get pulled right back out by a “draw weapon” card.

I am going to assume this is a standard question. If so there’s a good general use card that will give your deck time to overcome a weapon Rogue once it’s online. It’s also a card that sees widespread play.
