I don’t see anywhere to see how many tasks have been completed for a particular mercenary. Do you have to keep track manually? Am I missing a way to look it up?

There is currently no way to tell without third party systems or making a spreadsheet.

When you get offered a task for them it tells you what number, other than that there is no way, just like there’s no way to tell if a Merc has completed all 18 unless you keep track yourself.
Well you could tell if they are done with all 18 by making a party of 3 or less, including them. If that merc is not an option, they’re done.
Right but that’s rather ridiculous when they could just have a UI indicator. There already is one for when the abilities are “MAXED” so why not one for this?

I got turned onto the Firestone addon and it really helps with questions like that and figuring out which mercs to run for what you want.

Just wanted to ask the same thing.
It would be very cool if game designers add this function. Cause i got stucked when i prepare the team for farm. I couldn’t remember did my Ragna complete all tasks already or not.
I’ve been using Firestone since I saw this, that add all the UI stuff the game is missing, also helpful for the regular Hearthstone stuff.
yeah, it would be good to know at what task is a heroe. I thought about it too.
You’ll have at least one piece of equipment locked until you complete task 7, so that can narrow it down if you don’t use Firestone. Unless the authors updated something, it can only tell you what task they are on once you obtain one for a Merc. I would still recommend getting it though. It has a ton of very useful tools and info. The overlay in combat alone is worth using it.

Yes, it can only tell when you are running the app and a Merc visits your campfire for a quest. But you can also manually cycle through which quest Firestone thinks you are on (incase you play on mobile for bit or just don’t have the app open when playing.) I also used this to set the Mercs I knew had completed all 18 to finished in the app.
Well good to know that there’s exactly 18 tasks per merc.
Does that mean IF I get a mysterious stranger when I have or have completed the 18th task it will no longer offer a task for that merc
Yes, and if no Mercs in your collection can take tasks you will get coins in compensation. I run a team with three who have completed all tasks and 3 back-ups who need tasks. It ensures I always get tasks for the ones I need/want.
Also, since I last posted I’ve found their is a companion app/addon called Firestone that helps in tracking tasks and other parts of the general Hearthstone game.
If there was a list of QoL changes to add to mercs a
"what task is this guy on?
“highest task completed”
“X of 18 tasks completed”
On each mercs page would be extremely helpful.

And rotate the boss chest coins given around so you are not always having to farm the highest level bounties for certain mercs.
Um no. You have to do hard challenges for the good rewards. That’s kinda the point

Every Merc can be farmed from at least one static location. This is MUCH better than them being random or changeable. Each PvE map can easily be farmed with the right team. A fire combo blows through most non-boss nodes in one turn. Krush/Mulka can get through most by turn two.
Getting the mercs and doing the tasks is part of the game. If you get it all handed to you their isn’t much left to do.
