Horn of the windlord not reducing minion HP/ATK bug

hi i played vs a death kinght and my weapon horn of the windlord is not reducing the minion to 3/3 , the weapon specify , reduce ennemy minion to 3 atk /3 hit points but vs zergs the weapons doesn’t work and don’t reduce the HP of the zerg minion to 3 hp it allways count the zerg buff which it shoudnlnt .

can you pleas ecorrect this interaction thansk you .

This is not a bug, just an unfair stupid mechanic we call aura effect. This is buffing back the minions rightaway. Instead of reducing their stats it is increasing them basically. You set 1/1 to 3/3 for example, then it is also getting the non stop aura effect so you can’t manipulate their stats like you want.

the weapon says put any minion on 3/3 . there is not text that say : when the unit is buffed don’t apply the effect . sio it should apply whatever .

It’s basically how auras work. It’s not a temporary effect like a buff. Even when the minions reborn they dont ressurect at one hp.

If a minion has its attack diminished and its adjacent to a direwolf alpha then the direwolf alpha still applies its buff.

Its the same logic with the zerg buff.

DK zerg with this aura stuff is just BS. Especially the interaction with reborn.

Trying to play a control paladin… equality, Amitus, Tarim etc etc, i just dont understand why do we have to put stuff in the game, that just so unintuitive.

Not a bug. Just auras working funny. This always happen with aura effects because blizzards coding is funny.

Basically it’s something you have to come here for clarification. I’m winning legendary matches because opponents don’t understand.

It’s worked this way since Stormwind Champion back in 2013.

The global aura is not buffing them back. The weapon turns the 1/1s to 3/3s before the global aura application.

Hence the weapon is ostensibly buffing them further.

gravity lapse with astral automatons for similar extreme dumbness of rules.

And it does, then the effect saying give Zerg +X/+/X reapplies, making it larger than a 3/3 before the swing hits.

Every continuous effect that buffs attack/health works this way.

That’s because cards do not have text to cover all possible situations.

It is assumed that you know the basic game rules, and one of the basic game rules is that constant aura stat modifications are always applied on top of a minion’s base stats.

Any weapon you have, except Metal Detector, should always just hit face against Zerk DK

He’s the one who should be defending, as the deck is literally AFK first 2, sometimes 3 turns

They should reword Infestor to read “give all zerg in your hand deck and battlefield +1/+1” This way it is not an aurora but a regular buff.

of course for the rest of the game

infestor could use a 1 mana increase in mana cost

That would kill them, too much. Maybe the 1 mana increase on viper would be better.

i think only the mana change to infestor is needed and it should be reverted after rotation

the deck gets so weakened by it itll need infestor at 3
