Hollow Hound and the corpse tracker

I have just found out that while playing Hunter, if you draw or add copies of Hollow Hound to your hand, you get the corpse tracker which then just tells your opponent that you drew Hollow Hound. I know they made the change a while back to reflect how each class can use corpses but I think this shows a design flaw in making dual class cards with Death Knight.

This should not be free information my opponent gets for simply playing my deck. I know that this happens when you generate random DK cards due to corpse costs but it should not trigger from a not corpse cost card you put into your deck

Yes, for classes that are not DK the counter should appear AFTER a DK card is played.

Hollow Hounds is a DK/Hunter card, so it’s only natural that you can see your corpse count, when you have this multiclass card in your hand.

They don’t get any information about your deck, except they know that you have a DK card and there are more than enough ways to get a DK card, when you play a different class.

But maybe the devs could easily fix this by makes DK corpses only visible by corpse cards and not DK cards.

The main issue is that for hunters the corpse counter shows up for both players once you draw hollow hound as it is a half DK card, which essentially tells your opponent when you draw it because that’s the only DK card in your deck.

It’s more specific of information than say, your opponent using hipster and then seeing that they got a DK card out of it.

If hollow hound is in your deck, you should just have a corpse counter to start the game so that your opponent doesn’t get a visual indicator when it enters your hand. They would just know it is in your deck somewhere.

Wait what? If hunter draws Hollow hounds, then his opponent gets also his corpse count showing, even if it’s not DK? If understand this right it’s seems like a bug.

Sure it’s a bit more specific, because then the opponent knows you have this specific card as hunter, but how does this information affect your hunter play? But no matter what your answer is I already gave an answer how to solve this strategic issue:

In that case Hollow hound wouldn’t make the corpse counter visible, because it’s not a corpse card like Corpse Explosion for example. Devs probably just choose an easy solution to mark all DK cards as corpse cards than make an more specific coding, where only corpse cards are marked as such.

Yeah, classes don’t have corpse counts unless they have DK cards in hand, which for hunter appear when they draw a hollow hound.

It tells the opponent that they have to start spreading their minion positioning around locations and what not. It also lets them know if the hunter has the big heal / cleave card when deciding on if they should try to push face or not.

Confirm, as an opponent, that the hunter drawing a DK card suddenly gains a corpse counter. So far, we only confirmed the hunter player can see it.

Need a screen shot to take to the bug report forum.
