What it says on the tin.
If I have someone on Mute, I literally don’t want to see ANY of their content. Full stop, end of story.
Yes, I know I can click into a topic and mute individual topics. Times however many topics that person has made in the last X unit time. That’s not a “solution” so much as it is an incentive for me to permanently leave these forums.
If someone has ME on mute, they don’t WANT to see this topic right here. And they shouldn’t have to. This isn’t controversial, and it isn’t difficult. Please consider making it happen.
I don’t think they really want us here tbh. It seems mostly like a place to redirect people who contact customer service for technical problems or bugs. All of their actual engagement with players takes place on reddit and x
My honest opinion? This nebulous “they” don’t really concern themselves with “us” in that sense. The forums are here as a mere formality and are treated as such. An anachronism that belongs in a museum to chronicle Internet’s past.
It can’t possibly be “free” to keep this place operational, but neither do the costs inherent and associated with doing so seem to drain the beans fast enough for the counters to care.
Which, if you’ll notice, is why I employed language that was decidedly personal in scope; I’m not actually expecting “real change” from this topic. I’m not expecting much of anything, truth be told. (though I did find it blithely amusing that the first response to this thread of mine appears to be someone I have on mute)
It’s more just a moment of catharsis for me. A way of saying “I’ve rather outgrown this place.”
