I have built this deck but do not have Reska. Is there any card that can replace it? Sylvanna or Lord Marrowgar decent substitutes? The idea is something that can kill an enemy minion or take over it right?
Most of the cards i got from the free loaner deck and i crafted sir Finley and astalor cos those are just OP and found in so many decks, but Reska is quite niche.
Sylvanas would probably be a decent substitute, since you’ll infuse her quickly in DK. Note that the Azerite Rat will summon Chained Guardian in this case, which is still pretty good. You might also consider Yogg-Saron, Unleashed or Prison of Yogg.
Reska is played because of the tremendous synergy with the Azerite Rat, and is worth crafting for this deck and almost certainly future DK decks. Sylvanas is likely the best replacement until rotation, though.
Hmm… Yogg Saron sounds like a good alternative as well. It can immediately take over an enemy minion, plus there are two other abilities.

I don’t know. Reska is a very powerful and well worth crafting if you can. There are some matches where you can literally flip the board with her and it will cost you nothing to do it.
If you really can’t i would play a minion that is less than the guardian and primus so you don’t mess up that pool. Sylvanus is okay but maybe hounds would be better because of their impact.

Also, the points made about reska are solid. Probably a good idea to save towards crafting, since rotation won’t happen for years.
Just disenchant some rares and epics from previous expansions.
I’ve disenchanted mine yesterday and got 25k+ dust.
Of course how much you have of them to disenchant depends on who long have you been playing and/or have you been buying packs (I haven’t; i’m completely f2p but I have played for a long time).
Also, that’s just from rares and couple of epics. I’ve already disenchanted most of the epics and the legendaries.
The point is, if you can’t find 1600 dust from somewhere, don’t make the deck. Go earn the dust. Reska Pit Boss is kinda core in that deck.
Sometimes, there are cards which can be replaced with perhaps 1-2% win rate loss. That’s not one of them. Its’ impact on the game is huge as it becomes 0 mana kill a minion + steal a minion (and even more if it gets resurrected, as it normally does).
If anything, Sir Finley was the redundant part. You already have lots of card draw in the deck and the deck is strong and consistent. But if you already have that, it’s OK.
But I defo wouldn’t craft it now as it’s about to rotate away. Perhaps I’d even dust it off for 400 dust and be 1/4 closer to the Reska. It’s an investment for the future - sacrifing 1-2% win rate now for a much bigger gain in the future.
Why not just spend $$$ until you get the missing card? That’s what Activision wants you to do. Obey the Activision will……

Thanks all. Noted all the comments and will hold off playing with that deck till I have more dust. Will perhaps go for a triple unholy DK instead. Just saw a YouTube video on it just now…

Play something else and stop polluting standard.
Reska is one of if not the most important card in the deck, second to maybe helya, so I’d suggest not running this deck until you have this card.
I’ll just add that I agree with what others have said. You need Reska. I would just send you the dust if I was able.
Reska doesn’t just represent Reska. Reska represents board clear opportunities, stealing strong minions from your opponent, and with enough excavations, you could get her back twice or more in a game , representing gigantic swing turns multiple times in a game.
It’s a mid deck at best. Rainbow DK is far and away a better deck. They aren’t polluting anything other than being a nuisance to highlander decks.
There is another version of plague DK that doesnt run excavation package. Is that better or is rainbow DK better?
The plagues have no target in this meta. When there were more highlander decks they were countering those decks hard. With so few in the meta now since Warrior in generally has switched back to straight Odyn control it lost its edge. Not to mention Plague has no game at all against Sludge which is considered the best deck overall now.
Rainbow gives you early boards that are hard to remove and a bunch of 1 health targets for the sludges to get no value. Not to mention as they keep killing all the little minions off Rainbow DK is getting fueled up. The minions they have give them good board presence against both decks and the Quartzite Crusher is a huge counter to Odyn Warrior.
