Your opponent played Cult Neophyte, which caused your Lightning Bloom and Coin to cost 1 mana.
ok …BUT i have 2 mana + 1 from bloom and + 1 coin are 2 mana… BUT the problem is …bloom overload in the same turn NOT next turn…
Right, you should have 3 mana available total, 2 from your turn, 2-1=1 from Bloom, 1-1=0 from coin. It does seem odd that you have only 1 mana left based on the battle log on the left, nothing else influencing mana was played.
The OP started with 2 mana.
They cast Lightning Bloom, which cost 1 mana and gave 2 mana (current mana = 3)
They then cast Coin, which cost 1 mana and gave 1 mana (current mana = 3).
Then they ended their turn, since they had nothing to cast for 3 mana.
I imagine the goal was to LB into Overgrowth, or LB into Coin into the 5 mana minion.
The padlocks under the mana display indicates which crystals will be locked for the next turn.
sounds about right. afaik temporary crystals stops showing once the turn ends
That’s right. The OP’s image shows that it’s the enemy’s turn.
Ah, good point, it is enemy’s turn. So what probably happened is that they had 2 mana, paid one of those two to gain 2 temporary ones (Bloom), paid one temporary mana get one temporary one (coin). When they ended the turn, the two “full” mana crystal disappeared, leaving only the two permanent ones, one of which is empty.
It sounds a bit silly that way, but since it is the enemy’s turn, which mana crystal is full, which is empty, how much is left, is irrelevant, it is not possible to spend mana during an enemy’s turn. The important values are the maximum mana (so that both players can know where they are, in case they had ramped with permanent crystals) and for the current player, a reminder that overloaded crystals will be coming next turn.
(I mean, a less silly display would have been to show 2/2 for the mana, when loosing temporary crystals at the end of the turn, I would think removing empty ones in priority makes more sense, but ultimately it does not change anything).
