Hearthstone still does not work on mac!

It’s been a while now since hearthstone has officially stopped working for Mac users and I have reported this already a while ago with some possible solutions I believe but this is not a long term solution because its way too inconvenient to play this game now.

Steps to recreate:

  1. Have a MacBook Pro with the latest MacOS update “Sequoia”.
  2. Start up hearthstone.

You will now either see a solid colour briefly before getting a black screen with sound or you will see the entrance to the tavern for very shortly and then a black screen with sound. It appears you can click stuff too but we obviously can’t play the game with no video.

Processor: 2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
Integrated Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB
Discrete Graphics: Radeon Pro 5500M 8GB
Storage: SSD 2TB
Ram: 64GB

Someone else posted the fix on another thread:
I had this same problem and was able to fix it by turning off Game Mode. I ran Hearthstone, it went full screen and all black. I then pressed Control+Left arrow to move back to the primary space where I could access the menu bar. I click the game controller icon in the menu bar and click Turn Game Mode Off. Then I press Control+Right arrow to return to Hearthstone, then Command+Q to quit Hearthstone. The next time I ran the app it started up correctly.
