Hearthstone is not competitive with Steam

Especially during Steam sales, it becomes very apparent how crazy overpriced Hearthstone is.

Crazy overpriced.

An AAA game like Divinity Original Sin II is $17 now on Steam. For $17 in Hearthstone you get like 10 card packs.

So on Steam you get an AAA game that was game of the year.
For the same price with Blizzard, you get a bunch of cards that aren’t even enough to build a deck with.

Lower your ridiculous prices Blizzard.

They will charge whatever they think they can get away with. MTG set the standard, now everyone knows that people will pay those prices.

Blizzard’s Battle Net is not a gaming store?

What do you think Blizzard sells?

If i follow your logic , only card packs lmao .
Edit . Bnet does have a sale atm , just not for HS … But you also did not specify battle net , you said HS .

People paid MTG prices because MTG cards shown to retain or even go up in value. Hearthstone the prices are static.

You’re just a troll. Hearthstone is a free game. You will receive plenty of free packs & cards without spending any money.

You don’t need ten decks; you only need one.

Replace Hearthstone with Digital Card Game and it still holds true.

But, you can also play HS completely for free and not spend a dime on it as well.

Flexibility is where it’s at.

seems cheaper than several games on steam

like duel linkz

or gems of war

i think eternal and shadowverse arent what id call cheap either

which games are you talking about ? because what im getting is you are comparing it to another f2p game of the same genre on steam
but cant guess which one is it

Very few MTG cards go up in price. You could quite easily have a shoe box of MTG cards that sell for a few dollars, for the lot. IF you can even sell 'em!

Old MTG cards went up a lot in price. But new MTG cards are pretty much worthless and will always be worthless.

Sure, if youre talking the power 9 and the like. Most arent worth squat.

you’re saying that because you’re a new player but trust me, you’ll get bored very very quickly

Show us your shoe box filled with Black Lotus, please :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m not familiar with any other DCCGs aside from this one here and MTG Arena. Judging from the latter, the former’s prices seem fair. It’s all down to what customers are willing to pay. You will never be able to convince a company to charge less for a product if said company is capable of selling said product at a higher price.

On another note, with the addition of the Rewards Track (which MTG Arena also has), I’m very satisfied with my ability to supplement what I pay for with actual currency with what are essentially free cards. Looking back, I’m shocked players put up with the old rewards system (if you can call it that). What was it, again? 3 wins for 10 gold or some such?

I’ll end with saying it is laughable the attacks paying customers receive around here. To mention, paying customers are what keep this game afloat for everyone else. But, also, we all have hobbies, and I don’t think it’s up to anyone else to judge another for spending money on a hobby they enjoy. Whether that’s collecting and playing digital cards, or ballroom dancing. Don’t mistake your dislike for this game to justify insulting others. You could… just… not play. You can also play for free. I don’t see a problem.

steam doesnt allow low quality games on there games list

shadowverse proves you wrong
