Hearthstone is complete garbage

It’s terrible when even f2p players are leaving. The game is only for those who want to spend $100’s a month. Greedy developers have ruined the game. Used to be quite fun when blizzard made games for players and not profits. Battlegrounds was a great concept that ended up a complete failure. Too many new seasons and cards just to rake in more $. Even with all the money the servers are terrible and drop games regularly. Just a huge dissapointment.

Hearthstone as a game inst bad and i will even go as far as saying its a fine game with the appealing simplicity aspect of it. My problem is that it is way too greedy with the monetization. You can spend hundreds of dollars a expac and still not have all the cards. I mean, the actual valuable cards, epics and legendarily. The amount you pay vs the value you get from cards is not very much and a pretty inefficient , even with the bundle deals.

I refuse to support this greedy monetization and i think you should be able to get EVERY single card in the expansion set for 60 bucks or so. Yes, yes, i know this i will never happen because this is the current market value and will remain so until the whales join in on the boycott.

So i’m f2p and i only have 1 class a expansion and currently, i only have a full miricle priest deck and half of the deathrattle deck which is missing key legendaries on hearthstone.

This is compared to Runterra which i am playing right now and i have nearly the entire collection for FREE. When i say the entire collection I mean i actually own almost every single card in the entire game from every expansion and thats including legendaries for completely free. I have 35 legendaries wildcard and hundreds of lesser wildcards which i can use to craft the remaining collection if i feel the need to. The only money i spent was maybe 60 bucks and that was only for cosmetics items such as the boards and ingame pets.

On runterria, i have been playing this pve game mode call path of champions which is kind of like a dalaran heist hybrid. Also free, btw. Its pretty fun leveling up my latest champion kennen and i recommend trying it out.

If you spend 100’s of dollars per month just to fill your collection then you’re doing it vety, VERY wrong…

Young padawans lack patience.

You just need a few solid seasons and you can get decent collections to have a couple of competitive decks from that point and onwards.

Just be stingy with your dust and gold in the beginning, and then they will naturally start flowing.

I’m f2p, haven’t dust anything from my wild collection (even though I don’t play wild), haven’t dust a single legendary or epic regardless how terrible it is, and yet I’m still in top 1000 playing multiple decks.

Can I play everything I want? No. I keep my dust reserves up. But I still have like 7+ good decks ready.

I does not matter how much we invest , play or give in cash or other resources…this is not going to be improved…it beyond redemption…

I take it that’s a diss at me, which is fine. I probably shouldn’t have been so snarky in my last comment – but, I was. Can you please explain in plain English what that reply means? I truly have no idea whatsoever.

That means you are lack of understanding other humans. We are not doctors , to diagnose you.
Are you an Alian ?

Forgive me… you are genuinely confusing me here.

I will not forgive you

Is it possible to learn this power?

I was going to say I’m f2p and I can generally run about 4-5 top decks per season into top 3000. Although about quarterly per year (if the offer is exceptional) I will make a single purchase under $20 - like the recent one offering 2 legendaries and 20 packs.

I limit myself to 4 heroes (Gul’dan, Rexxar, Garrosh, Thrall) and I dust anything and everything belonging to all other heroes; as well as any cards which transition to Wild.

I’m impressed that you don’t dust anything and can sustain 7 decks per season. I believe you for the record, but I’m astonished nonetheless.

I’ve spent around 150 euros on this game since I started playing in late 2016 I think. During last year or so haven’t bought anything, but I still can play most relevant decks in the meta at the moment. For me playing arena helps. Always liked the mode and at the moment I again play it more than constructed. That’s how I’ve managed to get cards after I quit paying for the game. If I had just played ladder, with my hours of play I probably wouldn’t have as many card as I do now. I’m quite good at arena, though. If I don’t retire runs I think I average around 6 wins per run currently.

Liked just for the Episode 3 reference

It seems more successful than standard, by looking at twitch

What do you expect? This is typical of the FTP model. You want everything it costs you you at least 20x what it would cost for a single AAA game. At least Heartstone isn’t full on pay to win you can cobble together at least 1 deck completely FTP but if you want a full gold collection be prepared to spend 1000’s every expansion. At least Hearthstone doesn’t have a pay to win leaderboard like some of these FTP games where the top of the leaderboards are people that spend 1000’s or cheated somehow because that’s the only way the Math adds up for their score.

Wierd. I’ve been playing as free to play since the beginning. I regularly got platinum 5 or higher. Are we playing the same game?

As a F2P model, HS isn’t the best but certainly not the worst either. The dust situation should probably be improved for F2P players or players who don’t want to drop $100s per expansion. I don’t really care about the overpriced cosmetics because they have no sway on the game itself. Plus, the devs were kind enough to release a new expansion where you need basically no cards from the new set to field a competitive deck. That’s what I call F2P friendly!

You just have to believe in the heart of the cards!

(or more realistically only invest in the classes you really like)

That, and after years of terrible pack opening, the recent openings have been more than stellar.

As an example, with 80 packs in UiS I opened like 4 quests.

I also do a lot of cycling. Everything nerfed gets dusted, and I only recraft if it’s absolutely necessary for a deck.

Case in point I dusted my shaman Q when it was changed. I still have a shaman deck in elemental shaman, so no need to recraft. I have something to scratch my shaman needs if needed.

(currently I have ele shaman, q rogue, q warrior, libram, burgle, garrote, buff paladin, q Hunter, face Hunter, tempo mage. I don’t actually play all of those, (no time lol), but for my favourite classes of shaman, rogue, mage and paladin I have decks to play and even cards to meme with)
